As anyone reading this realizes, finding the right safari company is overwhelming, but for us, Asili Explorer turned out to be perfect. From the initial planning to the final airport drop-off and everything in between, Joe and his team were amazing.
They helped us plan an unforgettable safari that turned out to be the highlight of our honeymoon. They were very quick to respond to any questions that we had during the planning, and were able to customize the trip to our itinerary. It was also nice to travel with a local company that has strong relationships with people and businesses along the journey.
Lodging: Joe from Asili coordinated overnights at 4 places, all of which were outstanding. Clean, friendly, and with tasty food. It was difficult to leave in the morning because they were so nice. But we had animals to see.
Animals: We visited Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti. They were each unique and each unforgettable. We saw the big 5 and MANY more. Our encounters were magical. Often the animals came so close you could almost touch them. We also saw the wildebeest migration which was astounding. Tens of thousands of herds.
Food: As stated above, the food exceeded our expectations. There was lots of really tasty options and the portions were massive. We were also pleasantly surprised at the boxed meals that we had during the drives. Very tasty.
Staff: Joe was our guide and we thought he was great. He's friendly and very knowledgable. He also was committed to making sure you see as many animals as possible.
Extras: We visited a Masai village and would highly recommend it for an hour or so. It's a little extra cost but it's fascinating and the villagers were very friendly.

This is our first Safari, and we booked direct to Asili(Elly). We had only 4 days available and Elly present a tour that we will never forget.
We arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport and was met by Epzata, the driver and guide for 4 days.
First we had a sleep over in Arusha. Next morning Epzata pick us up at the Hotel and we drive to Tarangire National park.
We drive there in some hours and we see a lot of elephants, giraff, anthilopes and even hunting Lions. We slept over at Burundika tented Lodge, which was a lodge with good atmosphere and a very nice waiter/bartender.
Next day we visit a Masai Village, we will reccomend.
We drive further and into Serengeti National park. There we saw «a millions» of gnu. We also saw Lions, Leopard which took a gnu up in a tree, hippo, crocodile, monkey, anthilope, waterbuck, warthog and a lot of other animal, that Epzata find to us.
This night we stay in Tanzania Bush camp, which is the best ever. In the evening some hyena was hanging around the camp. We meet another driver and guide from Asili, Joe. He had a couple from USA on his safari, and we had the evening together.
Next morrning we had a half day in Serengeti before we drive to Ngorongoro and Rhino lodge for sleep.
The day last we had a nice tour down in the crater. We was told about the big five, but we did not find the rhino.
Epzata was really a entusiastic guide and driver, which know where to drive to find the interesting to see.
We can recommend this company direct from our heart. So If someone going with a safari upcoming, contact Asili, and They will do the best for you.
