We were so thankful to arrive at Ahadi Lodge after our long bus ride from Dar. The owner, Erica, was kind and attentive from the moment we arrived. She showed us to our beautiful rooms and they set our table for a delicious meal.

In this busy and dusty city, Ahadi Lodge makes you feel like you are far away. There is a pool and great garden to sit and relax in. Erica was extremely helpful during our stay. It felt like we were guests at her home...since she lives there I guess we were:) What an incredible place to stay!!

*a little side note.....Ahadi is down a very bumpy dirt road so it can be hard for some to find. Just make sure your taxi driver knows where it is before you go!

Smallish lodge with about 15 rooms and small pool not far from Arusha town center. Excellent food and nice small pool. Friendly owner (Erica from Australia) and great stopping point on the way to ngorongoro crater or tserengeti parks.

My family and I started and ended our safari at the Ahadi, with two rooms before and two different rooms after. The Ahadi is indeed an oasis. The one drawback is that it is in the middle of a rather sketchy neighbourhood. Although it does feel perfectly safe and secure, it is surrounded by the smells and sounds of close human habitation. Along with the din of general activity, there were roosters crowing and dogs barking accompanied by the smell of burning garbage.
Other than that, the Ahadi is wonderful. It is a small collection of buildings situated around a pool with beautiful gardens and even "back yards"! The owner and staff were very friendly. We were absolutely treated like welcome friends.
The food was really excellent and we felt perfectly safe eating anything they served.
Though the rooms are small, they were very clean and well maintained with the requisite mosquito netting. The shower was nice and hot.
The Ahadi is a perfect place to start and or finish your safari.

We stayed here with our four kids before and after our safari. This was a great way to begin our adventure. The owner was more than helpful and assists all travelers with any needs before they set off. Beautiful lodge with a nice pool!

We only stayed 1 night here when we arrived from the airport before heading out on our safari but our short stay was very nice. We arrived at the hotel very late due to travel delays but the staff was welcoming with fresh juice and flashlights because the power was out. The room was cute, clean, quiet, and comfy. The next morning we were able to see how pretty the entire hotel is, and we wished we had time to lounge at the lovely pool. The hotel is very secure, free wifi is a great bonus. Breakfast and the lunch box were delicious, probably our best lunch box the whole trip.

This family run business was recommended by our travel company and we couldn't have found a better place ourselves. The rooms and communal areas are exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. We eat there each night of our stay and the food along with the service were excellent. We were abel to leave our extra baggage whilst we went and climbed kilimanjaro and then when on safari. Erica, the owner made sure herself that our less than fragrant clothes were washed after spending 8 days up Africa's largest mountain!

For a country that feels so far from home - we were made to feel very much at home. If we were ever in Arusha again we would definitely stay there.
