The hostel is located on the main road through Arusha center, so it an get a bit noisy in the morning hours, especially because all of the rooms are facing the street. Rooms are very simple, the dorms are ok, but the bunk beds are not very stable, so when the person above you moves a lot, you move too. Bathrooms are quite ok, could use a bit more cleaning, but otherwise enough showers and spacious enough. There is an amazing rooftop terrace to chill, they offer free breakfast and for lunch and dinner you can always order something. The bar is opened the whole day and with the couches and view over the mountains it's a very nice place to chill. Excellent wifi all the time.
Around the hostel not much to do, the town itself is quite dirty and except of the local handicraft market we didn't find much to do around. From the hostel it's a 5 minute walk to a big supermarket and an area where you can find "decent" coffee shops and ATM's.
We were lucky we found Albert in the hostel, he's working as a guide in Arusha and Moshi, so he took us around for 2 days, without him we would never see so much as we did, had an awesome local lunch and also a day trip to Moshi and Kilimanjaro National Par. If you look for someone to take you around, he's great, just ask in the hostel about him.
