The staff really know how to take care of every detail. I have stayed at the African Tulip on three different occassions and love this property. Roy Safaris next door handles all of our in country experiences like safaris, hotels outside of Arusha and transportation. Simply the best guides around (ask for Habeeb - he can spot lions like no one I have ever seen). Food is always good and a nice pool area to kick back and relax.

We stayed at the African Tulip for one night before our safari and one night after. We were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. I only wish that we could have spent a bit more time there, as we arrived very late and left very early both stays. If I return to Tanzania again I will stay at the African Tulip again.

We began our African safari in Arusha. This hotel is clean and has a pool.
Arusha is a large city with a small airport but it is not a city where you linger for days to see the sites. The food was a disappointment. The menu is limited but has some indian dishes available.

My boyfriend and i stayed here for 1 night at the end of Janurary just before we went on safari. Our room had a large bed, a power shower and a balcony (lots of birds to watch). The room was nicely decorated, very spacious and clean.
The pool is very clean and empty, until the evening when i think the owners or workers family were swimming, then it was noisy.
Reception were helpful and all staff were very friendly. Free internet available although its a little slow.
The biggest let down was the food, it was very bland and tasteless and took a long time to arrive. We had a lunch and dinner here i would not recommend it.
Overall a relaxing hotel before or after safari.

Dear Ms. Nikki,

Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback during your recent stay with us and for your positive comments especially on room, shower, balcony, bed and staff attitude.

We have well noted your concerns of the meal you had. We have already acted upon the same by reshuffling the Kitchen staff with some new and more professional appointments so that we can improve quality and reduce the time of service.

At the same time, we wish to advise you that we have carried out our investigations and found out that the said children who were by the poolside on that particular evening were neither the owners’ nor staffs’, but rather children of guests of the hotel.

We are deeply sorry for all the inconvenience caused to you and do pledge to provide better service now and always.

We look forward to welcoming you again at The African Tulip Hotel and to compare & Sample the quality of food and other services.

Warm regards,

ANUJ SHARMA
GENERAL MANAGER
