Good accommodation in a lovely setting!! One of those places one dreams of as a home!!

On the day we arrived, I immediately told Rebecca, the manageress/part owner how impressed we were with the hotel, the garden, our room, all the little details...like bougainvilliae buds on the beds and roses in the room, how all the staff looked hand picked, all helpful and friendly and how the dinner was delicious.
However what we did feel at the end of our 3 night stay was that the management was absent and not available for the hotel's guests, something that is definitely expected in a hotel of this size( about 10 rooms) and quality ( Boutique hotel}. The personal attention factor by senior management is totally absent. Even when we repaired the puncture on our car with the assistance of 2 of the hotel staff, the management couple arrived and there was nothing but a friendly hello.
At least we had Richard, the perfect head waiter, who obviously loves the place after working for the previous and present owners for a total of 18 years. He told us about the history of the farm and it's beautiful houses.

The hotel, as it was during our stay, definitely lacked a soul!! A shame when so much effort has been put into it and when it has the potential of being the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty.

My daughter and I stayed in the Lodge for a couple of days before climbing Mt Kibo and again for 3 days after the climb.
It is a really relaxed atmosphere, with limited bungalow style rooms set in a green African oasis.
The managers, Rebecca and Alex are very friendly and go out of their way to assist with any issue. The staff are delightful and the food great. The chef accommodated a dietry requirement with no problem at all.
I would recommend this Lodge to anyone wanting a day or more of relaxation and personal attention, in a quiet, beautiful setting.

I spent 3 nights at Arusha Safari Lodge after a busy work schedule in East Africa and it was the perfect place to wind-down and relax in stunning and tranquil surroundings. The room was beautiful and spacious and the pool area and gardens provided the perfect location to relax and enjoy the lush natural surroundings. The staff at the hotel were excellent and helpful at all times. The quality of the food in the evenings was superb and significantly better than other places I have eaten at in Tanzania. The management team (Alex and Rebecca) could not have been more helpful with booking transfers and explaining the history of the buildings. I had a really enjoyable, relaxing time and I will definitely be back to stay next year. Many thanks.

I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Arusha Safari Lodge. Beautiful accommodation set in lush tropical gardens make this the ideal place for relaxation either before or after a safari or Kilimanjaro attempt. My cottage was comfortable, generously proportioned and beautifully furnished. The staff were extremely courteous and hardworking and the management team could not have been more pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was delicious, generously portioned and the menu varied daily.
All in all the Lodge could not be faulted and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting the ideal place to stay when visiting this part of the world.

After two weeks in luxury tented camps on safari in Tanzania, spending our last night and day at Arusha Safari Lodge was really wonderful. It's a beautiful, small, secluded oasis outside the city. The staff and food was A1. Bungalow #2 is a fantastic, romantic hideaway. And spending the day poolside with cold drinks and just chilling out is perfect before getting on a long flight home. We highly recommend it.

Room Tip: With only seven bungalows and two rooms in the main building I think any of them would be excellent...

I really loved staying here. The pool area, the bungalows and the dining area were all just terrific. There is plenty of birdlife around and it really felt so relaxed compared to Arusha town. The management are just so lovely and the staff were friendly, accommodating and easy going. We turned up a day early (got our dates mixed up) which was embarrassing but they were so nice we were just able to laugh it off. We organised a three course dinner here for a dozen people and it was the best meal we had in the week we spent in Arusha (by far) and one of the best desserts I've ever had (nothing fancy, a butterscotch pudding and icecream...but so good). After a difficult day trip to Tarangire National Park we returned here and it was like heaven. I liked Arusha National Park but Arusha town itself doesn't have much to offer - but if you're doing Kilimanjaro or any of the nearby National Parks consider this place as a base. The only other things I would mention is that the approach (off the main road) to the Lodge is rough and a little intimidating and it is located a little bit out of town...I would pre-organise with the staff from the lodge for pick up and transfer from the airport as they know drivers who are familiar with its location.

A lovely setting in old coffee plantation with wonderful views of Mt Mara on clear days. We used this for a base to do short safaris and worked out well with a great and good food to retreat to after a long day. Great food but also close enough to Arusha to eat out
