Friendly and helpful front-desk people. Stayed 1-week. Anything I needed was quickly attended to, including calling/flagging down a cab for me. Desk people are very professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and even are able to communicate in English with me. I left feeling like I was saying "bye" to old friends. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great place with friendly people, very helpful receptionist, the short cute one was really good and informative. Ask for her recommendation to buy the local Taichung food products. The night shift uncle was a great fellow to hang out with. Had a good chat and learn more about the culture and people here. Great hotel with very 'interesting' channel.. Hahahah

This hotel is close the train station (and the bus stops on the other side of the station) but that's about it. In terms of location, it's not really close to any main areas in Taichung, so you'll either need to hop in a cab, or catch a bus to get into the heart of town.

Please also note that the location shown on the Trip Advisor map (at the time of writing) is incorrect. The hotel is located almost directly opposite the rear entrance to the station on FUXING road, no Fusing as detailed above.

The rooms have been done up & you can see that they've made an effort to make things look relatively new. I stayed on the 12th floor & the windows in my room were covered over with wall paper & shut tight. The room was a double, but would be a bit of a squeeze for two people with luggage.

The girls at the front desk were friendly enough, though they did have limited English, but this wasn't really a problem. This is an ok place to spend a night or two, but if you plan to stay in town longer, I would suggest somewhere a little more central.

Hotel is fairly adequate in terms of facilities. Plus points is that it is near the Railway station, there's a 24hour carrefour about 10-15minutes slow walk away in one direction, a convenience store in the other direction (also about the same walking distance), an internet cafe at the corner of the steet. Should be quite safe since it is beside a bank.

Negative points would be the corridors in general are very dimly lit.. May look a bit worn down, seems pretty old..

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful with directions.

Would give it a 6.5-7/10 for the stay - Not very particular about hotels, just as long as they are clean.

Our first hotel in Taiwan is exceed our expectation. Although looked worn from the entrance, the receptionists are friendly and helped us to move our luggage to our room. The rooms looked a bit worn too, just because the lightning in the room is quite dim but at least they're clean. It's one of the largest room we've stayed in Taiwan.

Pillow- quite thin, but normal for Taiwan's hotel standard I found out
Bed- quite hard, again, normal in Taiwan
Sheets- okay, quite clean
Bathroom/ toilet- has a tub where you stand inside to shower, hot water and current is good
Wifi- Oopss! Forgot to check!
LCD TV- Has many channels, like 100+! Including X-rated ones unfortunately.. ><
Cleanliness- good
Noise level- no noise at all, but in the morning can hear renovation from next door
Green points- reusable room slippers and provides free water refills instead of mineral bottles considered green?
Curfew- no curfew, party till 4am, still can enter your rooms
Location- strategic behind Tai Chung station. Please read my long winded directions on how to get there. But it's quite far from Feng Jia Night Market, about 30 minutes, NT250 by cab.
Breakfast-provided
Price- NT 1960 for four person with breakfast. It's a surprise that the receptionist told us that breakfast will be served in our room. Next morning, we get a basket of freshly prepared sandwich with boxes of milk tea delivered to our room.

There are a lot of restaurants/ street food/ stalls opposite our hotel (most probably because it's near to train station) where you can grab some food before boarding a train.

Directions to the hotel:
From Tai Chung Train Station, ask for directions to how to go to Tai Chung rear station via underpass. Their train station is quite big therefore the 'Front' and 'Rear'. You do not have to have train ticket to use the underpass. If you arrive to Tai Chung via train- do not exit first, but ask how to get to Rear part of the station. If you did not arrive by train- ask around where you can go to the rear station. Once in the underpass, follow the signboard to go 'Rear Station'. It's about 5 minute walk to the Rear Station after climbing some stairs. At the underpass exit, turn to your left into a small lane (you see the main road at front), walk to the main road, turn right into a short row of shops. Walk till the end and you will see the lane to the Rear Station on your right. Look across the road and you will see the hotel sign board. It's quite small, you might miss it. The hotel is adjacent with a bank.

I reached Zaw-Jung ard 11pm. I could not find my way there. It's actually not directly opposite the taichung railway station. To be specific, u need to take the underpass and exit at the "REAR railway Station" exit and walk through the short lane on your left and turn right - you will see the hotel sign board.

Upon reaching the hotel, the staff knew i had a hard way reaching. They immediately offer me the way to get ard for my next day trip. They even offer to get one of the staff to drive me to Gancheng to take bus to my next destination.

And when i asked them where to eat at that hour, the manager was about to knock off and she offered to drive me to the nearby night market to tabao and she drove me back before heading home for her rest. Before she left, she even make sure i have enough drinking water in my room cos she saw that I did not buy any drink from the night market. And she reminded me to get instruction from the reception on how to get to the bust station tomorrow.

Really Super services!

BTW the room for one night for one pax is NT$1100. The room is decent and basic facilities. Good place to consider :)
