There are many branches of Chun Shui Tang teahouse in Taiwan. Although it is not known which exact Taiwanese shop is the creator of the world famous Bubble tea. The original Chun Shui Tang in Taichung is speculated to be one of the origin.

I’ve visited different branches of the restaurant for several times. Most of their teas and beverages, either ice or hot, are great. Hot meals (noodles or rices) are average, snacks are good, and services are excellent.

This is a nice traditional Chinese style restaurant with a great atmosphere. However, the cost is a little bit higher than those of other similar shops.

Great epeectation to visit this so called 'the birthplace of Taiwan bubble tea'. Prepared to queue up for I tried their large size bubble tea. First of all, its price is very expensive when compared to the other tea house. Secondly, its bubble is tasteless at all even though they are still chewy. Thirdly, their tea is not tasteful as expected. What a disappointment! Worthwhile to pay a visit to try once, but do lower your expectation. I have to say that that is the worst bubble tea I ever drink. They should be shameful to offer such poor quality tea to customers, but charging expensive price for it.

Tip 1: No reservation required. We walked-in in the afternoon and it was not very busy.

Tip 2: This is the birthplace of famous Bubble Tea so we ordered a cup and tried it. Honestly speaking, it was not as good as we expected but nevertheless we tried it and now we can say that we know how the real bubble tea tastes like!

Tip 3: This joint sells mainly finger food, we don't suggest you to order main meals because there are loads of shops around here that sells better food. It seems like this place is mainly for young adults to hang out. We found that the price of the bubble tea is quite steep. Those vendors who sell bubble tea at the night markets can make exactly the same quality of bubble tea. I wont recommend my friend to go, even if they ask about it, i will suggest them to visit once.
