I wouldn't recommend this hostel for several reasons. First of all, the location though convenient, is somewhat hard to find right away. Taxi driver took me to the place using directions on the hostel's blog and I got off nearby, then I couldn't find the hostel and walked past by it several times since it has no sign or anything to indicate it's a hostel.
Then, when I finally found it, it turned out that the owner messed up the dates or totally forgot about my reservation (which was made 2 weeks prior to arrival and deposit was paid as requested) and there were no available rooms. Then he said he will find a room for me to stay at a different hostel, which turned out to be some kind of cheap lovers' motel right on the busy street of Feng Jia Night Market. I refused to stay there, he then took me back to his hostel and offered me a room, which I later learned was his own room he occasionally stayed at when he didn't go back to his place in town.
The room was OK, but nothing like I've seen on the pictures, but I was so tired to care more. The bathroom/laundry room was not in the room, but across the hall. At night, I was disturbed by noises from the hallway since the room's door was made out of glass, so wasn't soundproof.
Overall, I had a terrible night, didn't sleep well and still had to pay the full price for the room which wasn't even supposed to be given for guests to stay at.
Wouldn't return there and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who plans their trip ahead and doesn't want any unpleasant surprises.
