It's a modern and sleek designed hotel. Location is not next to Fengjia Night market and takes u approx 8-10mins to reach the night market. Location is considered convenient as it is easy to reach hotel from Taichung train station (many buses stopped at Fengjia Night market).

Room, bedsheets and towels are clean but towels looks a bit old. Bathroom wall is using a thick frosted film and u cannot see through from outside. Room is considerably spacious but there is no safe inside the room. Good hotel security as u need hotel keycard to swap the lift before allowing u to access to the levels of your room.

Buffet breakfast served and fruits are free for grab at reception (available in the evening). Also, hotel provided free umbrella rental (from reception) if u need one. If u drive, the parking is free.

No free WIFI in the room but computers are available at reception level for free access. There is also a gym room but I did not have time to take a look at the equipments available.

Room Tip: Book direct from hotel

The walking distance between the high speed shutter bus station to the hotel is about 10 minutes. When you alight at the bus stop, just walk straight and will pass by Cosmed and then a traffic light turn right into the junction. From there we saw large signboard with the hotel name. The lobby is at level 3.We have to use the room card to access the lift. There is wall painting in room, cleverly paint around the hanging lcd. No safe deposit in room. The glass bathroom has no lock. But it's not totally see through as frosted film is being installed at the middle of the glass panel. We're ok with this as many other contemporary hotels also using similar glass bathroom design. The coke and mineral waters are free in the mini bar. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM and has quite number of varieties. To sum up, it's a stylish hotel with modern touch.

Good location. It is about 10-15mins walk to the centre location of Fengjia night market (where there is a McDonald). (Note: Beacon hotel is right beside McD though.)

Hotel reception is on the 3rd floor. We had booked 2 standard double room which is located on the same floor. While walking back to the rooms, we passed by the reading room, gym and foot spa room, breakfast area, restrooms and lift lobby, all very nice trendy decorated.

Room itself is not big, but can put about 2-3 big luggages. Basic amenities are provided e.g. hot water flask and free drinks, air dryer, big LCD TV. The bed is also soft and we had a nice sleep.

But the downside is the bathroom. The walls and sliding door are made of glass (the centre portion is pasted with translucent laminate so that you can't see through the bathroom from the bedroom), so the bath towel hanger is fixed on the shower area. This meant that we have no place to properly hang our clothes and towel. As there is no shower curtain nor door, 2/3 of the bathroom is wet after a shower, so we have to step on a wet floor (unless you bought along your own slippers, the bedroom slipper is made of paper). Also there is no lock on the sliding door.

There is no wireless internet access in the room, but they provide it in the hotel reception lobby. There are also a few PCs for internet access.

Breakfast has a well variety of selections.

Stay for a day at this hotel, feels like a apartment converted hotel. Anyway, it cost about $2380NT (108SG) for a Deluxe Single room (breakfast for 2 - BF buffet American/chinese style) The actual is similar to the pics in the hotel website. It has other theme rooms too. They have hair dyer, Refrigerator and In-room coffee, tea and hot water facility. No bath tub. And no lock for the toilet door, just matt coated glass door which can see thru if you concentrate hahha. I have to hold on to the door handler while doing business, worried that my kid will dash in any moment. Free internet access, no deposit require. Air con is those home unit type, for my room, it was blowing directly to the door and the other side of the room where the bed is don't really get the cool air. There is window and the only view is windows from the next building. Nice lobby and restaurant. Good that it is next to Feng Chia Night fair, so eating is not a problem. The lobby is at 3rd floor and needs your room key to activate the lift to access to the hotel rooms level . Not a bad choice if you have budget.

In my 8 days around Taiwan, this was easily the best hotel I stayed at. The place is extremely clean, the lobby area is modern and looks really sleek, and the facilities that are available for use for free are great.

The rooms while a tad small, are sufficient and are really nice and cosy retaining the modern and sleek, yet warm and cosy feel of the whole hotel. The only down point would be the toilet, which can get messy and wet due to the lack of a divider of any sort inside between shower and toilet unit/sink. But even then, it is a nice and clean toilet.

The location though, is a little weird, sort of hidden entrance, having to take an elevator to reach the lobby. Apart from that, it's not too far from the night market where university students roam and there are endless things to buy.

One of the better hotels I've stayed in, and not just in Taiwan.

Strategically located within walking distance from the Fengchia night market in Taichung, In One City Inn is a like boutique hotel.

Things I like about the hotel:
- reasonably-priced (slightly less than S$100 per night);
- hotel room is well-furbished (I especially like the bathroom. which is retrofitted with frosted glass wall and sliding door, and aquamarine mosiac tiles)
- free Internet access;
- contemporary design with art pieces and nice furnishings;
- proximity to Fengchia Night Market;
- friendly and helpful service staff.

I'll definitely stay in this hotel if I visit Taichung again.

A very nice, trendy, newer, and comfortable hotel, In One City Inn's location isn't very good. I booked it on a website that had it pointed out erroneously on the map. Consequently, it took quite a while to find it and I ended up needing a taxi. It's very far from the main bus station in Taichung. If you are looking for a nice, comfortable, newer hotel and you aren't too worried about location, and you plan on taking taxis, then I'd recommend this place. It's near a night market which is nice. The staff are helpful overall. The rooms are great!
