We stayed at this hotel in Dec 2013 for 4 nights in 2 rooms for a family of 4 while touring Hualien particularly the Taroko National Park. The hotel itself was very decent and located just outside the city where shops are about walking distances away. We tried the free bicycle ride around the hotel which was fun but did not find it too practical from the road safety aspect due to generally fairly high road traffic condition and the lack of separate cyclist track. Going to Taroko from here needs a short ca NTD150 Taxi ride and which was not a problem for us. Taroko itself was partly a disappointment because many of the trails we were hoping to visit were closed at the time for safety reasons. Nonetheless, the key takeaway from our stay at this hotel was the helpfulness of the staff.
