Excellent 5 star facility in the middle of the beautiful botanical gardens.Restaurant food was also of a high standard.A jewel in the middle od swaziland.Makes a change from royal swazi hotel. Note Nkonyeni golf estate greens are in a shocking condition.

We arrived early evening after a 7 hour trip and were met by a dour, very unwelcoming officious receptionist who made us feel like a complete inconvenience. After asking for a porter, (no one available), he escorted us like a prison guard to our room. Our room was a down an unlit pathway at the edge of the property. The roof was made of straw and insects dropped from it during the night which was mentioned to receptionist on checkout to which the answer was, Oh and carried on completing checkout. When asked for directions to a border post via the internet the receptionist said that they did not have access to the internet and that was only possible via managers and there were no managers on duty today.
The property seems to be stuck in a 1970'S timewarp with design, cuisine and service in a bizarre style that has little or nothing to do with Swaziland or indeed Africa. The waiters mostly lovely and dressed very smartly were managed by a Restaurant Manager who walked around with a casual shirt and body warmer on.
Suspect the hotel is owned by a botanical enthusiast who never sets foot in the hotel or restaurant as the gardens are pristine! I would suggest cross training 20 or 30 of the gardeners in hotel service! Never will return and would suggest you don't either.

Very nice chalets with loads of space. Quality bedding and peaceful surroundings. The restaurant is very good and the service is excellent. Breakfast menu is good although limited for choice. Internet Wifi is very poor in the chalets but at the poolside not bad. Will surely return.

Room Tip: Get a room as close to the pool as possible to be able to receive wifi.

The room was big and nicely decorated but the service was not the way you could expect in this price category. Upon arrival it was raining but noone was taking care of our luggage, nor after checking in. DIY seems to be the concept here. In the room there was a Nespresso coffee machine but no capsules. Wifi is very costly so this was the only hotel we decided not to use the internet on our tree weeks trip.
The room was clean but when I got up at night I almost stepped on an impressively big millipede on my way to the bathroom.

The site is pretty large with a lot of plants so be prepared to walk and enjoy the surroundings.
We tried the Palm Cascades Restaurant where we had delicious food in a nice (yet artificial) setting.

We chose based on so many 5 star reviews. Setting our expectations high, we were disappointed with the poor service.
The resort boasts 5 star rating, the service is 2-3 stars.
Non functioning telephones, the staff would "forget" that we have ordered drink or a meal. Often, too often.
The pool was not usable for the first 3 days (dirty and fool of chemicals).
The place has potential, but the employees are far from trained.
We cut our stay short by 2 nights - obviously "no refund policy"
Will never go again there.

Talk about an experience never to be repeated!

Service at the restaurant was just terrible, apart from the terrible (and overpriced wine) our waiter greeted us with what can only be described as disdain. The food was average and I never really felt welcome or comfortable. When I requested a doggy bag, a waitress took my plate to a table next us and left my food out in the open next to piles of dirty dishes.

When we're next in Swaziland, we're definitely giving this place a skip!

Booked a weekend for my husbands birthday and we had an amazing time, the staff was friendly one of the bar man made the best cocktails ever. The food was lovely, breakfast was always a feast and one was spoiled for choice. The room was very spacious and clean. Lovely clean pool. Location is perfect as its nestled in the most beautiful botanical gardens so if peace and quiet is what you are after this is the ideal place, also it is not far from major towns Ezulwini and Manzini are about 15-20mim drive. The restaurant always serves amazing food we sat outside and the waiter was kind enough to light one of those gas heaters for us when it got nippy. Lovely stay overall, will definitely be staying visit again.
