We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our holiday.Appearance at first sight was a bit Costa Del Sol but better when inside. Nice clean and comfortable rooms. The a/c unit was quite loud.To sit on the balcony we had to turn it off as the hot air was being pumped form the room onto the balcony. The noise of the birds was annoying to start with but you get used to it!!
Food was buffet and was very good. The staff are very friendly and give good service.

Staff friendly, courteous and obliging.
Rooms clean & air conditioned, - bathrooms a little tired but ok.
Restuarant buffet quite good with a reasonable variety of food & fruit.
Location & pool good.
Would visit again.

Room Tip: level 3 rooms facing afternoon sun can get very hot.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our Sri Lankan holiday. Basic yes - but clean, comfortable with balcony from our room and great pool area. The buffet breakfast was included and food was fresh with really pleasant service. Some good eating places nearby and easy walk along to Negombo main tourist strip. Cheap tuk tuk ride into Negombo township which is well worth a visit. Dont forget to visit the fish market. Great place to relax. Would go back

We stayed here for 1 night on our way home. Compared to some of the other places we stayed, it was a little disappointing. The rooms are fairly basic with quite a loud a/c system. The food in the restaurant was average.

The positives are that there is a lovely swimming pool and it is right beside the beach if you prefer the beach to the pool. It is also very close to the airport so was ideal for us travelling back early in the morning.

I felt that it was a reasonable hotel, fairly priced and convenient for the airport.

Room Tip: Watch out for the mosquitos here - the only place we were badly bitten in Sri Lanka!

This was our first experience here in Sri Lanka and it was a pleasant one. The room was clean and comfortable with a balcony and pool/ocean veiws. The pool and garden area was a great place to cool off or lounge in the sun. The restaurant did great buffet breakfasts although we didn't eat any other meals there as we chose to go for a wander instead. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The beachfront was a good place to view the catamarans, sunsets and sunrises or just to stroll along the beach. Not the best spot for ocean swimming though. The beach touts were there but they weren't too pushy and they were often keen for a chat. All in all a great start to our trip and would definately recommend to other travellers.

My wife and I, with another couple, stayed at the Paradise Beach Hotel for one night in August. We found the hotel staff to be friendly, the rooms were clean and air conditioned, and the views where across the swimming pool to the open sea. We had a tasty buffet lunch, on the day of our arrival, which was inexpensive.
During the evening the hotel hosted a wedding function, but the level of service to the hotel guests was maintained, and the wedding was interesting to watch. It was a shame that the weather was so inclement, with heavy rain that threatened to disrupt the wedding, but the hotel staff coped very well.
We used the hotel transport to and from the airport (the drive was about 15 minutes) which was efficient, and as we were a party of four the the cost per person was not much different than a local taxi. Due to an early flight we did not partake of the hotel breakfast.
If we are in transit again at Colombo, we would stay at this hotel as it met all our needs and the room rate was good.
My only negative is that certain areas are looking a little ‘tired’ and they will require a fair amount of money to be spent to upgraded, other than that our stay was very pleasant.

Room Tip: All rooms face the sea

We stayed in Sept/Oct 2012 and have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Firstly it is ideally situated for airport transfers and for travel to Colombo and beyond. The staff are helpful and friendly and all areas are kept clean and tidy. We had an all-inclusive deal and this proved excellent value and the food choices and quality were excellent. The rooms are well air-conditioned, of a decent size; many with excellent views over the well-kept grounds and ocean. The only thing to say (not the hotel's fault of course) is that the sea isn't suitable for swimming in all year round because the currents are apparently quite dangerous. All in all though, an excellent place to stay.

Room Tip: ask for a room that lies perpendicular to the beach
