We stayed at this guesthouse for two days after touring the island of Sri Lanka. It was a great place to relax prior to heading home. Terry and his family also run the hotel next door where there is free wi-fi, a restaurant and places to relax on the beach. The guest house is very clean and quiet. Terry is a registered guide and can set up an island tour. He organized a wonderful itinerary for us that included Sigiriya, Anuradhapura, Kandy, Adam's Peak and Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage.

Room Tip: Air conditioning costs extra, but was nice to have when things got humid.

We stayed at Jeero Guesthouse for over a week and absolutely loved it! I visited Sri Lanka for the first time with my wife. The friendly Manager, Terry, was very helpful and made our stay comfortable.

The guesthouse has 4 rooms and is in a good condition. 2 rooms face the beach; 2 rooms face the street. The rooms lacked a few basics such as TV, alarm clock, etc. But, it was very clean which was important for us. It is an excellent value for money accomodation.

Highly recommended if you are looking for basic, clean accomodation with no frills, and proximity to the beach.

On our trip to srilanka we stayed in negombo when we arrived and decided to stay at the Jeero's guest house. We had a room at the back with a really big terrace and the room was new renovated.
Really good value for money .we took our bq fast next door at silver sand. What was really amazing was the owner Terry organised a trip for us. He drove us every where ..just ask him what u want to see what is your budget and he will accommodate.
I really recommend this place to start your holiday (not far from the airport 15 min . Then don' t miss to organise your srilanka tour with Terry.
For sure we will go back again.

jeero's guest house is a nice, familiar hotel in negombo - one of sri lankas first addresses. it's about 45 minutes away from the international airport and a very nice property.

the rooms are extremly clean, in some kind of kolonial style, dark wood,... - you have everything there you need.

a nice, recommendable please!

When I arived at Jeero’s guest house, I found the place very nice (apparently very friendly owner, nice garden, very quiet) and the sea view rooms: very big, clean and just painted.
Everything seemed to be OK but in the first afternoon, I saw they had put in a very small jail one of this so cute squirrel you normally can see running everywhere. The squirrel seemed to be very sad and couldn’t move too much in that jail. But I tried not to think too much about that, I know many people like to have animals in jails… “What to do?” as they say in Sri Lanka…
But in the night time, I heard the owner shouting a lot, during 2 or 3 hours (I couldn’t understand what he said and to whom he was speaking) and making “strange” noises… I couldn’t sleep too much because of that noise (and bad sensation).
The day after, from my balcony, I tried to see something and find out what could have been those noises, I only saw a poor dog, out of the house, tied with a very short rope (maybe 50 cm)… And that second night, the strange noises and shouting started again. And then, I could see the owner with a long and big stick, beating very strongly this dog, again during many hours (the dog was out of the door, tied with the same short rope, howling with pain, and the man was going out of the house every five minutes and beating and shouting at this miserable dog). Around 11pm, this man was really fed up with the dog and he took him to another place, I couldn’t see where. I could only hear the dog howling and baying at the moon for the rest of the night…
