We spent two nights at the Fort Printers and loved every moment of our stay. The hotel is in a colonial building that has a colourful history, most recently it was used as a school, hence the names of the rooms. We stayed in Geography which looked over the courtyard and had a view of the lighthouse. The rooms have the most amazing pillows. The hotel is stylishly decorated but also very comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious and served in a lovely setting. The location of the Fort Printers is also fantastic, right in the heart of the Fort, an easy stroll to all the sights.

A beautiful and elegant hotel. Great service and terrific spot. One down side- As this hotel has justifiably become popular then the restaraunt has too become popular. The rooms at the front thus are incredibly noisy until the restaraunt closes. I probably would stay again but request a quieter room

Room Tip: As for one at the back

The Printer's is THE place to stay if you want to be in the old Fort. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable and their food is probably the best you will have in Galle. Rohan the assistant manager really went above and beyond yo pamper us and their manager Peter was very warm as well. You can have access to their sister hotel "Frangipani" shares the same kind of quality and gives you the opportunity to relax by the coast. You really can't go wrong there. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely boutique hotel with excellent service, friendly staff, perfect location to explore Galle. Sister hotel facilities were very useful and well connected too. Food was good, although some of the food wasn't on the menu.

After 3 weeks in Sri Lanka - 3 meals a day - we've tasted almost everything. Humble rotis bought in street kitchens, fresh lobsters served in 5 star hotels. But the best food was without any doubt the meal tonight in The Fort Printers.
5 starters, 4 of which made from raw fish (sashimi, ceviche, tuna tatar...), 1 dessert - and lots of free bread with homemade hummus. Even the machiato afterwards was brillant.
The meal here was 30% cheaper than the one we had on Amanwella yesterday ... And 200% better!
