There is a lot of glowing press for the restaurant at the Galle Fort Hotel. While it is generally well-deserved, we found Fort Printers to be more consistent at the same price point (plus you can choose from a menu while Galle Fort is a set menu each night). There are the usual Sri Lankan standbys (plus lobster curry, which we didn't see elsewhere), but the real winners are the North African-inspired dishes. The chef has worked all over the world, and has learned how to handle the fabulous spices of Morocco with the freshest ingredients of Sri Lanka. The barramundi was particularly good. The mezze were also outstanding. Courtyard seating is very pleasant in the evening. The wine list is decent and the prices fair. Waitstaff were efficient, courteous, and knowledgable. Hats off all around.
