We had a lovely night staying here, the gardens are so beautiful it was like a little piece of heaven. I loved the room we stayed in, with its outside bathroom, and beautiful Sri Lankan furniture. We had a lot of fun in the pool, and power lounging. Food was also yummy, all in all it was a brilliant end to our holiday.

Its a really nice place for peace and tranquility.
The style and the design are perfect.
The food is delisious and the garden with the pool are magic.
It was for us the best place in our Sri lanka trip
I recommend it to everybody (if the price don't rebuts you)

My husband and I were attending a wedding party at Nisala Arana in February. We have never been to Sri Lanka and decided to do some traveling while we were there. We visited Nisala Arana once we arrived in Bentota as we wanted to see where the party would be. Having never been there before we were a bit lost as to where to go and what to see. Not only did Mr Pereira give us great advice as to places to visit, he also had great insight as to where to stay while in Bentota. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my husband and I had a great vacation. The staff was most accommodating. The food was amazing. The location and setting of Nisala Arana is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been. If we have the fortunate opportunity to visit Sri Lanka again, we would definitely stay at Nisala Arana each and every time. It is a rare gem.

My wife and i stayed for 4 days in January, and couldnt have asked for a more idyllic experience. This place deserves all the hyperbole it attracts; the peaceful serenity of the surroundings (punctuated only by the distant, chirpy melody of the bread truck!), the informal hospitality of the staff (especially Ben and his family), plus the well appointed rooms with outdoor showers. Hiring a bike to explore the surrounding area plus the river boat expedition to the Pahura Kanda temple upriver are activities that should not be missed. A truly unforgettable experience, and a more sedate and authentic way to enjoy the delights of Bentota.

Nisala Arana was a delightful quiet setting in a walled garden. The room was spacious and comfortable and Benjamin the friendly host went out of his way to help and advise guests. The delightful garden had a plethora of colourful birds, kingfishers and egrets but the really special one was a black woodpecker with a deep red head. The bicycles allowed a short pedal along safe lanes to a very old temple or to the big beach if that is what you prefer. The food on the verandah restaurant was superb, fresh and various. The helpfulness of the staff made our stay a very welcome one. I loved the Moggie Minor coupee ride to the turtle hatchery. It was fun! Passed by everything except bicycles. It was a peaceful haven.

Room Tip: The small number of rooms were all beautiful and peaceful. The few rooms make it a delight. No more than about 12-15 people could stay at any one time.
