What a fantastic work they do here. All the cuuuuute newly born turtles as well as the old turtle-ladies who they take care of. So inspiring.

It could be due to tsunami but the place has not much to see, may be just 3-4 big turtles. Baby turtles were cute. The guide provided by the hatchery was in a rush too. Definitely not worth 500 LKR per person. Total time taken to see the entire place was 15 mins.

These people do a great job. Leave a good tip. We were there 9 months after the tsunami and the whole area was devastated. Really shows you just how lucky we are.

Visited the place on our way from hikkaduwah to bentota. All the reviews seemed to point towards kosagoda but our driver suggested this one so we stopped by. For one, it seemed more expensive at 500 lkr and when questioned they suddenly said 300 lkr for saarc countries. Most people seem to be reviewing the experience rather than the hatchery itself. The tanks were not maintained although they said that the water is changed every 3-4 days. And then they played music asking for more tips.
