We got back home to London yesterday and my jet lag means I'm here writing this with everything fresh in my mind. The last 3 weeks at Budhasa Ayuredic resort have been some of the happiest of my life. The treatment routine that you settle into massages, rubs and smooths away years of stress and hassle... And leaves you feeling renewed and spoilt. The food is delicious and you are directed to what your body needs but the choice is yours. The little chalet style cottages are a good base... Not luxury but you very soon rid yourself of the desire for that. You have all you need: big bed. Wet room style shower. And a large fan on the ceiling. There are mozzy nets if you want... And aircon but we chose not to use them.
But the most special thing about this place are the people. The chef, the waiters, the garden staff and the wonderful boys and girls who give the treatments all smile broadly whenever they see you and make you feel like your well being is the most important thing in their lives...
I have an aching heart to be conjuring all this up. But it's ok... We'll be back in December!!
