Go here for the beach, as it is a bit of a walk to get to other sites on the island. You are very near to the Botanical Gardens, the Teddy Bear museum, a waterfall, and the Ripleys Believe it or not Museum. We had the breakfast included in our rooms, I recommend that. We had a Garden view room, but wish would have paid for an ocean view, also they have balconies. Our room was really large, with a nice soaking tub. We ate at the outdoor traditional korean restaurnt. 45000 Korean won for 2 people, with pop. Not bad considering this area is quite expensive and touristy. We took the taxi tour of the East side of the island. This was great, for 120,000 korean won for the taxi, we visited 2 sets of waterfalls, the Korean folk villiage, the infamous tuff cone on the east of the island, and the Manjang caves (lava tube). It took from 8:30am to 3pm. Don't kid yourself this island is really large, and takes time to get around it. This allows you to hit the main sites. If you have time, consider the west side taxi tour as well.
Limo bus takes you to/from the airport. 50 minute ride each way.
Highly recommend this place for touring! A must if you come to Korea.

Room Tip: Book the ocean view room with balcony. Pay to have breakfast included.

I was in Jeju Island for a solo trip and decided to stay at the Hyatt Regency for a little luxury. And luxurious it was indeed. The room was a mountain-view one but i could also see part of the ocean and the entire view was amazing. My package was the business-package, which includes complimentary internet and breakfast. The internet connectivity was very good and fast and the breakfast had a good variety and lots of nice fruits.

The room itself is pretty gorgeous, with a luxurious bathroom and firm, comfortable beds. It was also quite spacious. I also liked the hotel's surroundings very much - it has a nice little chapel and very large grounds for pleasant walks in the mornings/evenings, or just to watch the ocean. It's also right next to The Shilla and The Suites Hotel and a 20min walk to the famous Teddy Bear Museum.

Although this is the oldest hotel in the Jungmun Resort complex, its location right on the cliffs overlooking the sea cannot be beat! The hotel architecture is rather generic -- it could be in Maui rather than South Korea -- but it has been well maintained, the sleeping rooms are large and well appointed, and the bathrooms are great, with both a tub and a shower as well a complicated bidet toilet. The swimming pool is small but nice, and there is a swim-up bar, which is always fun. There is also beach access down a steep stairway at one side of the hotel. I would give ten stars to the hotel staff: a typhoon arrived during out visit, and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate our panicked need for internet (change flight reservations), international calls, and general stir-craziness from being stuck in the hotel all day. A walking trail -- the Olle Trail -- which goes around most of the island, traverses the hotel grounds, so getting out and walking along the sea is quite easy. Many of the major sights of Jeju are within simple driving distance from the hotel. The only minus is that there are not really many restaurants within walking distance, except at other hotels, and so we ended up "eating in" much of the time. However, the food at the buffets was fairly good.

The Hyatt Regency in Jungnum resort Jeju is a top-end hotel, with a top-end charm, and a top-end friendliness, welcome, and treatment by staff. We felt so welcome, and had such a great time at this hotel, that it matches our best experiences with some of the finest resort hotels we’ve been to. The rooms are great and spacious, with a wonderful view over the ocean. We had a three-bed room, with one additional futon (free of charge) for our youngest family member. The food is really great, and you can enjoy your lunches and dinner with views over the ocean. You must except the un-Korean price level.

For kids, the hotel is also great fun. Inside the hotel there is a small pond, and kids can feed the goldfish. There’s a sketcher who makes great portraits. The outside pool is amazing, with a bar you can swim to, located under a waterfall, and great music at night. At Wednesdays free Disney movie-watching in the garden (although Korean voice-over are sometimes difficult to follow).

Besides, Jungnum is a great place to stay with children—so many things to do, there’s no way you’ll get bored.

At the end of the day, all that counts is the great experience we had with all staff helping us and doing their best to make our stay an unforgettable experience. If we’re in Korea, we’ll come back again, that’s for sure.

Stayed here as part of a tour of Western South Korea. Loved Jeju Island and this hotel was great also. It is very pretty and very clean. Right on the ocean, and we had a lovely ocean view from our room, which also had a balcony. The hotel is on a large, well maintained property which was nice to walk around, and we would highly recommend this resort! Breakfast buffet was good also. :)

Room Tip: Try to get an ocean view and enjoy the balcony in the evening!

I'm a nine-year-old girl from Seattle writing on my mom's Tripadvisor account. My family has been traveling around South Korea. While we were in Jeju, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt Regency is beautifal with staff who are always willing to help and the location is amazing and unbeatable!! All the concierges speak very good english, as do the other staff. The staff are very nice and helped us get taxis and recomended restraunts, they changed our plane reservation, they booked us rooms at another hotel, they fixed my mom's computer cord, and went out of their way to help us. The rooms are very comfortable and they do include safes. My family and I slept amazingly well and the the air condioning is very nice and our room was alawys kept at a very nice tempature. Also the Korean style mats are SO comfotable!! The views are spectacular if you pay a little extra to get an ocean view. The swimming pools are gorgeous and clean and there is a swim up bar if you wish to get a cold drink. The lifeguards at the pool offered me and my sister free icecream and fruit skewers. The beach is very fun and waves come crashing in, the waves usally get rougher in the afternoon and the public beach is closed on windy days. The house cleaning is nice and in the lobby there has a koi pond which kept me and my sister amazingly happy the whole trip. You can buy fish food to feed the fish and that should keep a lot of kids happy! We stayed in Gwanju,Busan and elsewhere in Jeju and this was undoubtedly our favorite hotel!!

Room Tip: the best deal for the rooms at the Hyatt are the advance purchases-Expedia or Hyatt- Queen room has...

Got a great rate over the Internet and was not disappointed in the room. Due to a passing typhoon, it rained almost all the time we were on Jeju, so we ate in the hotel for every meal over two days. The prices are high, but the food quality is commensurate.

Buffet breakfast is extensive and expensive. We especially liked our light dinner in the atrium bar surrounded by the koi pond. Dinner in Omi market restaruant was also good.

The atrium design does bring music from the bar up to all rooms, whether you want it or not. But it stops around 10:30 pm. Hotel's indoor pool was good and health club even better. Staff was all helpful and friendly.
