“Not at all bad for the price”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

We had originally booked some diving but this was cancelled at short notice due to lack of boat permits. I thought a trip on the submarine would at least give us some idea of the underwater world in the area.
I thought it was very good value for money. For £30 we had a one hour trip. Transfer to submarine was via a boat, once on the sub, we really did go to 40 metres which was impressive. We got free photos at the end of the trip. I'd recommend this submarine tour!

“Nice experience”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

It was very nice to dive on 40 meters in small submarine and see different fishes through the window. Kind staff made our trip very pleasant.

“Not worth the money”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

The fact that it may be the only time someone could go underwater in the submarine may be the biggest pull for it. It cost around 50,000 won, you can purchase tickets at the counter for the next trip scheduled. The submarine ride only lasted about 15 minutes submerged in the water.

The water looked murky and the marine life looked unattractive. Before I knew it, the time was and we had to surface. Totally not worth the money!

However, there is a photo taken before boarding the submarine. Remember to smile as you can collect the photo for free after the trip!

“Great Service and well designed submarine. But give it a miss if you're a diver”
Reviewed February 24, 2012

The trip involves taking us via a ferry to the location of the submarine (located at a pontoon some distance from land). The submarine then goes 40m deep. A diver will bait fish to the windows with shrimps: offering photo opportunities.
The submarine is well designed as there's no need to rush for good seats (everyone has a window to peer through) Trip was well organised too. Narration is in Korean.

Unfortunately the underwater sights were not fantastic.

“Surprisingly Fun”
Reviewed June 3, 2011

With all of the natural beauty and charming little places on Jeju-do, we were slightly reluctant to partake in this over-priced obvious tourist attraction. Once we arrived in Seogwipo, we were glad we decided to do this. Once you commit to the reality that this is going to be slightly cheesy and touristy, it's a lot easier to enjoy. The town is so cute! the street lights look like little orange slices. To my surprise, the submarine was an actual submarine and not some special glass bottom boat. We went down to a depth of almost 50 metres. The guide on the submarine, seemed very animated and funny. Unfortunately, almost all of the banter was in Korean, but everyone else seemed to be laughing steadily. We cruised along a reef, and some sort of wreck. I think children especially enjoy all of the silly kinds of fish that swim by (okay, maybe I did too). There is a scuba diver that accompanies the submarine and has a bag of shrimp to lure huge schools of fish past the windows. On the way out, everyone is given a souvenir photograph of themselves standing beside the submarine. Cheesy? For sure! However, we walked away with smile on our faces and didn't regret giving it a try.
