This guesthouse is adorable. You will have an authentic experience while staying here. The owners are helpful and wonderful with each guest. They make you feel right at home. Plus, their English is amazing.
The breakfast (eggs and toast) was perfect and the kitchen was never too crowded. People came and went and enjoyed the serenity of the building.
We went during the winter, so it was a bit chilly to hangout outside, but the courtyard would be entertaining during warmer weather. Several picnic tables and chairs to enjoy everyone's company.
The guesthouse is located near the bus terminal. Its about a 10-15 minute walk or you can grab a cab for the minimum price. The Sa Rang Chae website has exact directions, too.
Reserve early, they will book up quickly with the warmer weather.

As a group of 13 people looking for a decent but cheap place to stay a week before Lunar New Year, we didn't expect to find a place so perfectly suited for our needs.

The owner and his wife were very friendly and accommodating, giving us 3 rooms in which we could fit in 2 extra people for only 5000W a night extra. The rooms were simple, but clean and cosy. As Westerners we weren't looking forward to sleeping Korean style (on the floor), but there were plenty of bedding; it felt like we were sleeping on beds.

Facilities include a self-catering kitchen, free internet, free breakfast (toast and egg) + coffee and tea, lounge area, laundry service, log fire place in court yard, tour schedule advice, etc. The kitchen and lounge area is homey and warm; we had a great time preparing food and just chilling.
As South Africans we really wanted to have a barbecue. The owners agreed that we use the steel drum in the court yard usually only reserved for making a fire. Even though it was very cold outside, we could still have fun and socialize the way we were used to back home, which made the stay at Sa Rang Chae very special.

We would definitely go back in Spring and stay there again, we had an amazing time.

This little guesthouse was absolutely adorable and perfectly located. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, and managed to find a room for us even though we had no reservation. They were incredibly accommodating, and were willing to store out luggage while we went out sight-seeing both before and after our stay.

Our room was ondol-style, though a mattress was available in the room if wanted. We stayed in the large room, which was perfect for a group of friends. Our room had a TV and a private bathroom, though towels were not included. There is a community kitchen on site, with breakfast included (eggs, toast, OJ, etc.). There is also a laundry facility available, though we did not use it.

Staying in this guesthouse is more an experience than a simple accomodation. All very traditional: common room is very cosy and warm, I loved it. Location is perfect, you can basically reach everything on foot. Near to the station, near to the bus terminal. My room was small and beautiful, with private bathroom. The surrounding area is lovely and very very quiet. I loved the traditional style of the courtyard. Owners are warm people that speak some basic english, they won`t esitate to help you out. The price was cheap and totally worth it. Gonna stay here again indeed if I pass by.

It was nice to stay at a traditional Korean guesthouse. The location was great too. The room and the bathroom is very simple, so don't expect too much for the price you are paying. The common kitchen and living area is nice, with free wifi and a computer to use. The courtyard is nice too. Walking distance to many attractions, but we rented a bike as well.

I really enjoyed this guesthouse. It's very Korean and traditional. It's nothing fancy but is clean enough and lets you experience Korean living.

Good kitchen and common room. Nice courtyard.

We got a room with a bath for about 45,000 won which was good. There's a couple rooms that are cheaper.

Would recommend to stay if looking for authentic. About 15min walk from intercity bus terminal.
