Free wifi service and iPad provided in the single room. Perfect location, there are a lot of boutiques, restaurants, convenience stores, bar, karaoke, etc. nearby. Really friendly hotel owner and excellent service, ready to assist you at any time. They gave us free big bottles of water that time because they know we were going to have a long trip that day and they gave medicine for a sick friend. Breakfast (toast, egg, milk, etc.) provided.

Cosy little hostel located in a great location in Jeju. Affordable for its location, it is a little difficult to find at first but once you locate the landmark, you can easily spot it in a little alley. The hostel is surrounded by good restaurants, it is less than 100 metres from the bus stop and if your legs are up to it, a 20-30 min walk to the shopping district and Olle-Gil route 18 and 19. The staff were very friendly and could speak English so they can offer advice on traveling around Jeju as well as give directions to places of interest. The self service kitchen provided simple breakfast of bread and egg but adequate to fill the stomach. I stayed in a double room which was small but cosy. The room was clean and instead of a TV, an iPad is provided for entertainment, interesting set up to accommodate the size of the room. The toilet was very small though and appeared a little dated while clothes could only be hung in the toilet on a string tied across the toilet. All in all the hostel is great for its price and location if you do not intend to stay in your room for many hours.

It was really a most fascinating experience to stay at this hostel. The owner and staff were really helpfull, warmth and nice. The room was clean and we got an extra heating machine to keep our room warm and confidence. The staff lent us shawl and coat for free since she know we got freezing while having a walk around the island. I'll never forget all this warmest services forever. Good job Backpackers!!

Firstly, I have to agree with all reviewers that the staff here has been outstanding. Everything in the fridge is provided for free and guests are welcomed to cook them for breakfast. That's a first for me anyhow. All amenities are provided, maps are abundant & staff is more than willing to assist. Taxi stand is next door and so, grabbing a cab is never an issue. The direction to the backpacker should be clearer, though. Burger King ain't there anymore. As travellers get behind Dunkin Donut, there's actually another coffee shop at rear and then, we need to turn left into a small alleyway, where we get to see a bed & snooze sign, signifying that you are actually there at Backpackers in Jeju. City Hall happened to be a happening place for young people and so, the place could get rowdy outside in the evening but not to the extent that we experience in Europe, where there are binge drinkers everywhere. This backpacker gets REALLY cold during winter time. I'm staying in a private room with its own ensuite. Instead of having a door to the ensuite, I have shower curtain instead. As I used hot shower, the whole bathroom got fogged up and I couldn't even see myself. A heated fan in there would be most helpful indeed. The switch for the light in the room is placed strangely close to the ground at the far side of the bed. Wi-fi is provided free. Commendable stay.

This is a review long overdue. This is a hostel I would recommend to anyone going to Jeju as I had such a good experience at this place. The beds were comfy and the owner was a sweet lady who helped us figure out our bearings . ^^

Location of this place was good with tonnes of good food in the back alleys.

Could not have chosen a better place to stay for my 3D2N in jeju... ^^

Stayed here for four nights in September 2012, and it was a great experience. The owner and staff are so friendly and will do anything to help. The rooms are nice and clean, and the beds are so very comfy. The kitchen and bar area are simple, but has all the things you need, including cable TV to watch your favourite shows if you wanted a relaxed evening.

The location is amazing, right in the centre of the City Hall bar area, with many nice bars and restaurants around, and a taxi rank right next to it. Access to and from the airport is a very cheap cab ride.

Stay here, and I'm sure you will enjoy it, just as my girlfriends and I did.

Oh and try the homemade yogurt in the fridge...YUMMM!

It was a realy nice stay at the Backpackers in Jeju. I stayed there for two nights in a Single Bed private room. Its a simple hostel but its exactly what an active traveler needs. It was a very clean and spacious place, bed was really comfy. Staff where very helpful and friendly. Its a good idea to ask them about local restaurants and day trips around the Island.

This hostel has a very convinient location in vibrant and young neighborhood with plenty of bars restaurants and little shops.

I would stay there again if I will come back one day.

Room Tip: First find Dunkin Donuts, and then go into the tiny street just behind it, to get to the entrance to...
