4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2014

room and service is average, location not at city center, 10 mins walk from metro station. Building connected to the hotel provides hot spring center. There is a discount for hotel guests to use the spa facility. Stayed in the traditional korean room style which is not very comfy to me.

The hotel is not in the best of locations. It is noisy at night and yet there is little interest in the area. The food is not bad but it is expensive. By far the biggest problem is the temperature control (or rather lack there of) in the rooms. The hotel shuts off the air conditioning system as a function of date rather than temperature. As a result my room was 27 degrees when I checked in, that was with the heater turned off. You can open the window and although the hotel staff flatly refuse to turn the aircon back on they will lend you a fan. I managed to get the temperature down to 23 degrees before going to sleep. Unfortunately then the traffic noise becomes a factor. you have a choice of a room which is a bit too hot and a lot of noise or a room which is like a sauna but admittedly quiet. If you elect as I did to brave the traffic noise then at about 11 pm the local pie salesman sets up shop outside your window. He advertises his pies, a local delicacy I am told, by shouting until about 3am.

If you are an insomniac with a taste for South Korean pies then this is the place for you.

Room Tip: To get a good room try another hotel

This hotel is fine if your staying in the hotel or close by. The room seemed outdated and did the bathroom, in need of renovation! Annoying bath/shower with a shower curtain that stuck to you! Not that it is the main issue! On check in the staff were rude and abrupt! Not friendly! Their saving grace was 1 helpful man who helped us out with an issue not related to the hotel! Thank you to him! Otherwise staff need to have some customer service training as this is not like most other hotels in korea! The location seems far for a tourist wanting to actually get out to the main areas like huandae and gwangli. There is a metro about 10/15 mins walk , which is quite cheap and easy when you get the hang of the ticket! Would not stay here again!

Be advised that there is NO SWIMMING POOL at this hotel, period. There is a spa with a "hot springs", whatever that is, across the street. It is not clear whether the spa is affiliated with the hotel or not, or how much it might cost to use these facilities. Very disappointing.

Situated in a night life lively area near the Busan National University, this hotel is the regular comfy place with basic facilities and infrastructure. Nothing special to love and nothing special to hate, just functional for the purpose of spending a night or two.

This hotel is located right next to a famous spa for those seeking a relaxing experience. There is plenty of local shopping nearby with interesting merchandise. The staff spoke excellent English. Breakfast was very large with a great selection of foods to suit every taste. There are several restaurants on the property including a German brew pub with live music.

This hotel has improved remarkably in the 6 years since I was last there. In the past the air conditioning was stuck on a stuffy +27 degrees and was not to be altered. Now the hotel has windows which open, should one desire, and air conditioning which is actually useful. Breakfast was fantastic, a great selection and of a high standard (freshly squeezed orange juice at the push of a juicing machine button). Rooms are of the standard hotel room type, clean albeit with a sense that they are once smoking rooms which have now been relabelled 'non-smoking'.

Staff were courteous and helpful, my scissors and a knife and fork belonging to me were removed by the cleaning staff (by mistake) but quickly returned when I called reception to explain the mix up. There is free wired internet in the rooms and free wi-fi in the lobby. The hotel is very close to the metro (5 mins walk) and the city is very accessible in this way. I was not looking forward to going back as my memories were not great of this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend the hotel very warmly to others now.
