Stayed here during my short trip to Busan on September, 2012. We misunderstood the direction given in the reservation letter and end up being lost in the streets between Jagalchi Market and BIFF. In the end we called the hostel and the staff came to pick us up.

Located right in the main street, On the top floor of a building with shops, cafe bellow. The place is nice, super clean. We booked the 4 beds dorm. The room is clean, rather small, and only bunk beds inside, nothing else.

The toilet is very clean but don't know why, it smells weird. The only thing i dislike is the ladies shower room. Two showers in a room separated only by clear glass in between and shower curtain. I'm a bit uncomfortable to shower naked with a stranger.

The staffs are nice. We met 2 of them, but i forgot their names :) A very funny guy in glasses and a nice pretty girl. Both of speaks English. though the guy in glasses is not very fluent, but he tried really hard to help us and provide us with information we needed.

But overall, the place is great. Would love to come back again.

Room Tip: No AC in the communal area.

This hostel is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in! There is enough room in the common area for people to gather, and it was always spotlessly clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful with directions, and he always seemed happy to get to know his guests. The hostel is very close to the fish market and metro station, and there are also many restaurants close by. Many extras were included with the hostel, such as soap, shampoo, free laundry service (with 3 nights stay) etc. We stayed in the 6 bed dorm, but all the rooms I saw looked equally nice. (especially the private double.) I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Busan.

great hostel, clean with unique and comfortable ambience. quite easy to access from nampo station (#111), nearer the city center compared to the beaches area. just follow the main street from exit 2 (the wide street with many stores, NOT the 2-car alley that ends up at Jagalchi market like i did the first time:p). in case of raining or snowing, actually we could walk through nampo underground shopping alley (parallel with exit 2) and go out when see union bay store in the left corner--use the upstairs behind and we will directly see the building with the north face store below. the staffs are helpful and nice. a bit noisy from the traffic on the street, but they provide earplug that makes it not a big problem anymore. near the shopping areas with may choices of foods. will stay there again.

Great location! The hostel is only two stops away from Busan station. Jagalchi market and BIFF market are less than 5 minutes walking. Lotte and international market are less than 15 minutes. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Although the toilets are very clean, it may have some weird smell.

I have been to a number of hostels and this by far has been the best experience I have ever had!
The owner was very kind and generous. He introduced me to some of his family and friends and they were all great! We had a blast talking and drinking into the night. The rooms were great! Well, mine was anyway. Bathrooms are amazingly cute and clean. The shower was AMAZING!!! The common area has plenty of chairs for conversations; although, I spent most of the time (when I'm not sight-seeing) in the dining room talking and downing soju bombs with the owner and the other guests. Lolz! I have never drank as much back in the states as I do in Korea. >_<

I used Hostelbookers.com and chose their lowest priced room which was 15,000 KRW ($13.50 USD), which was for a 6 bedroom dorm. They don't do co-ed in case you're worried. To me that is an amazingly good deal compared to other hostels in Korea, especially one as great as this.

Not only were the people and the hostel itself were great but the location was as well: Jagalchi Market 1 minute to the left, BIFF Square with a fantastic nightlife can be found 5 minutes away, Busan Tower can be see be seen from the guesthouse window and only takes 15 minutes to walk and Gukje Market, where you can buy really cheap stuff and food, is also nearby. If you want to join the Busan City Tour, there is a bus stop conveniently located just 1 minute away for you to simply hop on. And for those of you coffee addicts out there, there's a coffee shop just downstairs!

Apple Guesthouse is conveniently located near all sorts of transportation stops: local bus stop right at the front door, Nampo subway station only 3 minutes away, a Bus City Tour stop less than 2 minutes away, and Busan Station where you can catch the KTX train is also nearby.

Clean rooms, hot showers, quiet nights and an amazingly good deal. What more could you ask for?!

Room Tip: The hostel is on a main street so if you want to avoid traffic noise while sleeping, try a room loca...
