“Good location and nice hotel”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

I stayed here for a business trip on Sept 2013. My room was over on the tower side (away from the casino), on one of the executive floors, with an ocean view, which I highly recommend. The hotel is situated right in the middle of Haeundae beach and only steps from the boardwalk. The views from the balcony are great, both night and day. Drinks and food in the hotel are quite pricey, but there are lots of places within easy walking distance. The executive lounge breakfast and evening cocktail/horderves were good, but were pretty much the same thing for my entire stay. I still recommend booking on the executive floor, because this also give you access to the spa, which is quite nice.
I would avoid having the hotel arrange for transportation from the airport, because they charge $108 USD, 1 way. You can catch the shuttle for $7USD, or a taxi for about $65USD.
Overall, this was a pleasant stay and the hotel location is really what makes this place special. I do recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Book on the executive floor with ocean view. The view are excellent and the high floors are relativ...

this hotel is in just about the absolute perfect location, right in the middle of Haeundae Beach, which by the way has been called the most popular beach in South Korea.

The hotel itself is great, great location, great property, great rooms with great beds, great balconies with great views of the beach, etc. Obviously you would probably want to pay extra for the ocean view rooms, and I highly recommend paying extra for the executive rooms also - they are in the (what I believe to be) newer building, and you'll be on higher floors, and you have access to the executive lounge where you can easily make up for the extra price by eating all the free food and drinking all the free booze. Free breakfast, drinks and snacks during the day, and cocktails during happy hour, all at the executive lounge, so why would you want to pass that up. It's also probably the most beautiful club lounge with the best view that I've ever been in.

I'll mention price. This place is ridiculously expensive. I think our ocean view executive room, not a suite, with a king sized bed was the equivalent of about $400 a night. I considered it to be worth it considering the location, the views, and the aforementioned amenities in the executive lounge. You almost have to get your free breakfast and drinks there, because actually paying for food and drinks in any of the hotel's fine restaurants and drinking establishments is going to cost an arm and a leg. In the (puzzlingly ubiquitous for Korea) Irish pub downstairs, I believe they are selling 500cc Carlsbergs for almost $20 a pop. We had dinner at the buffet restaurant and it's over $60 per person I believe, but then again it's one of the best buffets I've ever had in my life.

What really makes the place special, however, what really sets it apart from the crowd of other really nice hotels on this beach, is the outdoor spa with flavored Jacuzzis. It's in the older/non executive building, outside on the fourth floor, on the roof, and it's absolutely amazing and you'd be crazy not to spend most of your time there. Except it can get kind of crowded with lots of people with kids, at times. But they have a ton of different hot tubs with different temperatures and different scents/flavors, such as grape, green tea, etc, and they have a little outdoor bar with beer and an indoor sauna and nice bathrooms and it all overlooks the beach so you can sit in a nice scented hot tub with a beer and Jacuzzi jets and relax and enjoy the beach views. Also note, the balconies of the older building look down directly into the hot tubs, so that's another reason to choose the other building.

There's also a casino in the hotel. Korea is interesting because Korean citizens are actually legally prohibited from gambling in casinos, so casinos like this are built specifically to cater to foreigners, and you have to have your passport to enter. I'm not much of a gambler so we forgot to even go inside to see what it looked like. There are so many other amenities at the hotel, including a regular outdoor pool, fitness center, multitude of restaurants, etc, that we didn't have time to check most of them out either.

The room itself was fine, big soft king sized bed, nice robes, espresso machine, beautiful bathroom with a great shower, and all the other amenities you'd expect from a hotel in this class, like room service, 24 hour massage service, running clothes you can borrow, stuff like that. The balcony is really the best part, because of how nice the beach and views are. But honestly, it's best to spend most of your time on the beach itself or in the ocean or hot tubs or restaurants or executive lounge, rather than the room.

Haeundae Beach gets very very crowded during the peak tourist season, which corresponds to the July-August period when Koreans are out of school and so on, and at some of those times you can't even see the beach for all the people (check out pictures online, it's amazing). But we have found that in September it's still warm enough to swim in the ocean and the beach is almost deserted, relatively. So I recommend shoulder season as opposed to peak tourist season. It's also beautiful in winter, but very cold and windy.

Room Tip: Ocean view, executive lounge access rooms are the only way to fly. Recommend shoulder season (Septe...

This large hotel is directy located on Haeundae Beach with an unspoilt view on the beach and sea. It seems to be merged from two originally separate hotels.
We chose it because it was the only hotel there with balconies, and one of a few with an outdoor pool. Staff is friendly, but unhelpful: if you are loaded with luggage, no one at the reception offered assistance, even if they are not at all busy (they do however open your doors if you carry nothing but a small handbag...). Just a few of them speak some English. Rooms are not very large and they are conservatively decorated, but well-furnished, and our room in the 'main building' was certainly not outdated. The balcony with beach view was wonderful. The hotel has a outdoor pool on the 4th floor (no charge) and an outdoor spa area (16,500 won per visit) on the same floor. The pool gets very crowded, and the area has no room to sit and relax except for the recliners directly around the pool (no shade or parasols), but the rooftop spa is lovely: lots of small pools in a tastefully landscaped garden, looking out over the sea but too few spots in the shade. Be warned: the pool is closed every first Wednesday of the month. We did not visit the restaurants, as we found the prices off-putting: a meal costs from around 100,000 KRW per person. However, there are lots of less pricey alternatives in the area. We did not try the breakfast, as it wasn't included in our room rate.
If you come by car, it is good to know that parking in the underground car parks is free for hotel guests.

Room Tip: If there are outdated rooms they are likely in the 'Annex building'. Our room in the 'Ma...

I stayed in one of the beach front executive rooms. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The staff was courteous. The Executive happy hour makes this place worth the price you pay. They host a nice buffet and have an open bar.

This a beautiful hotel right on the best part of the beach. Lobby is gorgeous overlooking the ocean. The staff all speak some level of English. There always seemed to be extra staff available to help. The level of customer service is amazing. The staff is very young and cannot do enough to help you. We had a room with a city view and balcony. The room was well appointed and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable with a wonderful down cover. The bathroom has a toilet with heated seat. The tub and shower combo was a bit of a challenge for anyone with even slight mobility issue. Next time I would ask for a walk in shower. The free Internet was great. The gym in the annex building is more then adequate with great locker rooms outfitted w showers and all shower products. The gym is staffed w a trainer for help. This was an amazing hotel w a great location. The one negative is that all the 8 restaurants are very expensive. Drinks are also very expensive. I paid $8 for a small can of diet coke in the beautiful lobby bar. A beer was a about $11. We also found the casino very disappointing. There are mostly table games in the casino, some slots. No alcohol is served in the casino. The good news is that there are many restaurants, bars, coffee houses and dessert bars all along the boardwalk with more reasonable prices. You are also a short walk from one of the main entertainment streets with many different ethic restaurNts. We were here at a conference at Bexco. This hotel is several miles away from Bexco. However, the conference had a shuttle bus which was very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I went to Paradise Hotel Monday evening to listen to the live Filippina band. The music and performance was really good.

I had 2 beers and my friend 3 bacardi mojitas, bar bill for the 5 drinks 80991 add service and vat a total of ---97999, just short of 100 dollars for 5 drinks.

I have lived in Korea for some time and I am familiar with prices. This in my mind is totally disgusting, a proper rip off.
I shall not be back and I would warn others to beware.
