Has to be the best property in Busan.

Stayed here for 4 nights in February and was not disappointed.

The hotel is well maintained and the staff are well trained and make your stay very pleasant.

The pool and gym were amazing, as to the restaurant on the lobby level.

We had a room facing the sea and the view was amazing.

Now our only choice when we visit Busan.

This is an older hotel that has been renovated to the Weston standard. We stayed in a suite which has a large bathroom, but no powder room and a smallish bedroom and living space. The beds here were more comfortable than Seoul (not as hard). They also have a desktop computer which is cool. Very good service even though not everyone speaks English. On the downside, the food is not that good. Also, the doors here do not close automically behind you and there is a lot of noise from slamming doors in the hallway.

This is an excellent hotel if you are coming to Busan with your family. The hotel seems to really cater to families with small children. If that is you, then you will love this place. If not, you might consider a different hotel. For example, the individual rooms do not have Wi-Fi, usually considered a must for business travelers. To the hotel's credit, and in the spirit of their great and friendly service, they did hook up Wi-Fi for my room. But it is not standard. Both my colleague and I (he stayed on an executive floor) noted an excessive level of noise in the hallways with children being allowed to run and scream up and down the hallways. Large families leave their hotel doors open so the children can roam freely between rooms. Again, great for families, not so great if you're a business traveler. I did have some other issues with the hotel during my stay but those were probably one-off situations that the hotel can correct and are not likely to affect future travelers. Overall, I did not check out feeling good about my experience there. They were apologetic for the problems, but, quite frankly, they probably could have done more.

Room Tip: Be careful about asking for an executive room during peak vacation periods. There will often be a w...

An excellent hotel beside the Haeundae beach, and a nice park filled with pine trees and camellias bushes. Not the cheapest part of Busan, but not too expensive if you eat outside the hotel. If you walk back from the beach, perpendicular to the shoreline, you can easily find yourself in the hills above Busan. Also not far from the Line 2 Metro and a Korail station. A bit far from the Busan KTX Station (about half an hour by taxi, a bit longer by metro) and from the airport (an hour).

Stayed for three days combining business with leisure. Location is excellent, and if you don't get beach side view, don't despair - the other side has a seaview, view of greenery and the Busan skyline at night is also impressive. Liked the spa, it is spa-cious:-) , and the sauna properly hot. Also excellent idea is the 'camping' dinner - bbq'd seafood in your own tent overlooking the beach. The reason why this hotel, IMHO, is not five star is the concierge. No local knowledge was to be extracted from the two gentlemen I tried. This was partly due to the degree of their fluency /or not/ in English. A hotel of this caliber should do better than this, especially in a country where English is not that widely spoken so it is hard to get help once you get lost.

We stayed here over the long weekend. We thought about reserving at the newly opened Park Hyatt, but because the Chosun is on the beach and steps away from the Aquarium, it's still probably the best choice for Busan.

We were not disappointed on this, our third stay. Rooms are spotless with a bright white/beige décor. The room service was fine and check in staff were competent. We were a bit disappointed with the view -- we looked out on to the roof-top of an attached annex. Watch out for this if you get a room on the third floor without an ocean view.

The only minus I would mention this trip was the lines and waiting for the breakfast buffer. It was an absolute mad-house at 9 am. Other than that, a great hotel.

We stayed at The Westin Chosun Busan for 5 nights and got upgraded to one of their suites. The room has an ocean view, and it was quite large and spacious. It is also located next to a beautiful park and also next to the Busan Aquarium.

The only complaint was the female hotel concierge is not knowledgeable about the activities/ places to visit for the guests. We come to their desk to ask for places to visit and recommendations for things to do, and the female concierge was not able to recommend us anything.

We also had food poisoning case during our trip there and we asked for recommendations of pharmacy/ doctors located around the hotel that is nearby. She get back to us about 45 minutes later with an information for the hospital. If I need to go to a hospital, I would check it myself from the Internet. But I was desperately asking for a pharmacy store that is nearby the hotel and she wasn't able to provide us with the information.

The breakfast itself was another bad experience as we travel with a 5 year old who eats slow and their breakfast time closes at 10 am. When we came in late, and stayed past 10am, the female manager keep coming to our table and keep telling us that they are close. We feel very unmcomfortable and unaccomodated that they keep chasing us out saying that they need to clean up. In the end, I decided to stay in the room with my son and forego our complimentary breakfast since we feel that we are not welcome to eat there.

Although I have to say that if you need information from the Westin hotel, ask for Harley Pyo (he is the Concierge manager) as he helps us to arrange our transportation to Muju Resort, and he even helps us to find the transportation for us to go to the resort. We feel that he provides a superb and personalized service to us. Even when we arrive and the driver was going to ask for more money, the Westin concierge was able to clarify the issue and in the end it was resolved nicely.

Although the location of the hotel is not that convenient to the "happenings area" at night as most shopping mall in Busan closes at 8pm, it is a nice hotel to stay in if you love to stay close to the beach and don't mind the distance from the city. If you come to Busan,I suggest to stay close to Samyeon metro area (ibis hotel or lotte hotel) as the shops there closes quite late about 10pm and there is a major shopping street close to the station.

Room Tip: Choose an ocean facing room, very beautiful view daytime and nighttime,
