my sisters and i arrived at ibis ambassador hotel busan city centre on the night of april 12. we took a cab/taxi from the airport and paid around 15,000won.the location of the hotel is near the bujeon station. just outside the hotel is the underground shopping center. we checked in at the 17th floor, and our room was in 14th, originally we booked for one double bed, but we had to request for an extra bed since there were 3 of us, the guy at the front desk (Nathan) was very nice and accomodating. he answered all our questions too. the room was not that big, 2-3persons maximum. but it was neat and comfortable. the bedsheet and blankets were crisp clean. the room has perculator and complimentary coffee/tea. there were toiletries, towels and hairdryer in the bathroom, and though it was a little bit small, it was clean. on the same floor, they have provided a hot/cold & ice dispenser for the guests, no need to buy water when you are inside the hotel. In the lobby, they have a convenient store, which sells almost everything you need. we even bought our breakfast and coffee(caffe latte for me! and i loved it) there at reasonable price. and Starbucks is at the hotel too. Lotte hotel is 15mins walk. just across the streets are korean restos, grocery store and coffeeshops. By taxi, it was 15mins ride to Busan station,30mins to Haendae beach. we stayed at the hotel for 3days and it was pleasant. we really had a great time. all the staff were attentive and helpful,esp.Nathan. i really recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.we will definitely stay in Ibis hotels in the future!

Very near a subway station the hotel is high above the streets so has good views by day and night . Features very comfortable beds and and an in hotel self service laundry which is very useful if traveling light. Breakfast not included in room rate and seemed a bit pricy as an add on so we ate out and in for breakfast (theres a Starbucks on the ground floor of the building plus a 24/7 mini mart there as well) so everything is very local.

The hotel is quite nice except for the location. Quite a distance to shopping centres. It takes ten train stop to reach the fish market and shopping centres. The hotel staffs were very helpful, cheerful and friendly. Spoke English very well.

After conducting a thorough review of this hotel on the internet I booked a week in early April of 2013. It was pouring rain when I arrived, so my research paid off. I took the Lotte Hotel bus from the airport, got off, and went into the basement B2 to head to the underground passage which will take you right to the hotel with a 10 minute walk. Everything that I read about the hotel came true - i.e., very close to major subway stops, right in the center of the city, clean, and efficient. I didn't like the fact that the check-in lobby was on the 17th floor, but they let you leave your luggage on the ground floor while you're checking in, so that's not a big deal really. Do not - repeat - do not try to check b4 2 p.m. They have an English newspaper they let you borrow on the ground floor which was an added plus, especially since I could not find any newspaper stands nearby that sold them. There is a 24/7 convenience store right inside the bldg, you don't even have to walk outside if it's raining. The room was quiet, except for one night when people next door got noisy, but the noise ended around 11 p.m. They have a sign posted that says that if they don't resolve problem w/i 15 minutes to call the manager directly. The Starbucks on the ground floor, right next to the hotel, is a big plus. It opens at 7:30 a.m. There is another Starbucks near the Lotte Dep't Store, about a 10 minute walk. It took me about a week to figure out the underground passage system, and big negative to this place is the fact that there is no easy way to get your luggage up the stairs from the underground shopping area. I did find a way, but it would be complicated to explain, but here goes: Walking past Exit 9, which should be to your left, keep going and you will end up in the entrance to the Bujeon station. There is an elevator in that area which will take you up the street level, then you can just walk across the street, but you have to "jay-walk" since there is no legal crossing. Everybody else does it, so go for it. It is about 25 min. too the beach area of Hundae and 20 min. to the big market in Jugalachi. Also, there is a 24/7 cinema on the 10th floor of the Lotte Dep't Store nearby, a nice advantage. There is a safe inside the room securely attached to the cabinet which I used. The shower was spacious, the water was pretty hot, and ran fully. And don't forget to try the Korean "Doughnut" which is made of fried dough, sweet cinnamon paste and sunflower seeds. The staff speaks minimal English, so be patient with them and you may have to say things 2 or 3 different ways to get your point across. There is a guy posted at the entrance to greet people, but don't expect much from him, other than directions to the bus/subway/street. I was the only American in the hotel (that I know of), so that was kind of weird. Will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Stay away from the elevators and the laundry room on the 10th floor. Make sure you bring an electr...

We just stayed here for 3 nights. We came by regular train from Gyeongju, and the train station and hotel are within 5 minutes' walking distance. My friend "whatsapped" me directions to hotel from the train station, and I recognized the tall Ibis building (light brown with rectangular windows) the moment we got on the platform. We booked a twin room. It is on the small side, but good enough for a large and a small suitcase. Pluses: 1) The convenience store on 1/F 2) hot and cold water dispenser on each floor 3) reception staff spoke good English 4) Change money at KB bank across the street (have to use subway) 5) Agricultural supermarket directly opposite hotel 6) Bujeon market next to hotel. I love local markets. You can have breakfast there. 7) Metro entrance (no. 120) right in front of hotel. 8) Good room price. 9) Quiet 10) taxi to airport costs 20,000 won, 20 minutes. Only "complaint" is they seem to strictly adhere to check in no sooner than 2:00pm.

The hotel is clean and spacious. The staff are polite and helpful. My stay is very comfortable. If you usually travel along the metro line 1 or 2, its location is fit for you. Line 1 Bujeon station is just below the hotel and line 2 Samyeon station is about 15 minutes walk through the underground shopping arcade. If you would travel with train, the Bujeon station is within 5 minutes walk.
