This motel is a mere five-minute walk from Nampodong subway station. The street that you'll walk past is lined with eateries, banks, convenience stores and many more. I had a late dinner at a Korean BBQ restaurant (red signboard) along that stretch of road on one of the nights and it cost less than 25000 won for two people. That included rice and a bottle of beer. It's opened 24 hours so that's a bonus. For more recommendations on where to eat local cuisine, you can always ask the motel owner, Mr Son, who would be more than willing to tell you. There's also plenty to explore in the neighbouring streets!

The motel is also right next to Yongdusan Park where Busan Tower is located. Great view from up there!

There's a shopping district right above Nampodong station. Loads of coffee joints, beauty outlets, clothing stores etc. If you walk further down the road, you'll reach PIFF Square which has plenty of food carts. Nearby is Gukje Market filled with vendors selling their wares. If you get out from Exit 11 of the same subway station, there's a Lotte World (shopping centre). Next to Lotte World is Jagalchi Market. Head there for fresh sashimi. You can walk around the wet market to soak in the atmosphere.

The motel room itself was spacious and well-equipped with toiletries, a water dispenser, a huge tv, universal remote control, bathrobes, clean towels, cups, hair dryer, bathtub and a sauna room. There's daily housekeeping too. There's really nothing to complain about the room. It was worth the money we paid for.

Mr Son was so helpful to us. He really goes all out to help his guests. He will not hesitate to give us directions complete with maps to all the tourist attractions and even recommended us places to eat at. I'm really grateful to him for helping me mail out my glasses to Seoul because I left it in the room when i checked out. Excellent service!!!

We spent seven wonderful days at the Elysee Motel and enjoyed every minute! From check-in Mr Son made us feel very special (as I noted he did with every person who checked in)! The motel is close to many of Busan's prime attractions - Busan Tower, Democracy Park, Jagalchi Fish market, Busan Station and Busan's prime shopping areas. Mr Son has also printed out a range of tourist pamphlets to get you to other places you might want to go (I asked if he knew how to get to Oedo Island, near Tongyeong - and he even had one for that!)
While the motel is a little hard to find initially, its location is fantastic for getting to the above major sites.
The room was quite spacious and clean. Internet, spa and shower were excellent. Despite being a 'love motel' none of this activity was evident during our stay - except for four cards left discreetly in the car-park. Above all the price we paid ($55 per night) was amazing, given the location of the Elysee in a major city. We will happily stay again on our next 'Korean adventure'!

The motel entrance is through a car park. It looks uninteresting but once you cross onto reception and enter your room, you will find it spacious and well provided. Korean customs are to be followed. You do not enter the room with your shoes on and a few other details are set out in writing for you to follow. The toilet is large.Remember, this is a motel and expect it to be exactly that.If you take a taxi from Busan Station, which we recommend, it will cost you three thousand Won.
We took the KTX from Seoul which reaches Busan in three hours. The first class return ticket is expensive and we are not sure if it was woth it.
The Lotte Departmental Store is nearby but beware, it is shut on Mondays. The entrace to the Busan Tower is near the Motel and is worth the visit for a magnficient view of the Port and the city.

We stayed for 3 nights at Elysee Motel. It was a bit difficult to locate due to road works and the signboard is rather tiny. As female travelers, we were rather taken aback when we entered the lobby. We thought we were at the wrong place as it looked like some cheap motel where you can rent a room for a few hours just for some fun time.

For the price we paid, the room is the most spacious that we've stayed in through out our journey in Korea. Daily housekeeping, sauna, bathtub, clean towels everyday, big bed, huge flat screen TV, refrigerator, water dispenser, UV disinfecting cabinet for the mugs, super efficient service.

The owner was also very kind to have booked us a cab for a super early morning flight.

It's just 5-7 minutes away from Lotte Departmental store for some reasonably priced hot meal and it's about the same distance away from Gwangbok-dong Cultural & Fashion Street. Nampo-dong station is nearby as well.

Overall, we were very happy with this Motel. :)

P/S: If you are traveling with kids, please be informed of the pornographic VCR library just outside the elevator on the 3rd floor.

Like the title says, overall the hotel was really great!

Owner
Just like what everyone else said, they hotel's biggest asset is the very FRIENDLY, english-speaking and japanese-speaking owner, Mr. Son. When we arrived, he had everything prepared, and brought us outside to show us the different places to see and explore at nampo-dong.

Location
It's situated in Nampo-dong, the heart of Busan's shopping district. It's also about 10 minutes away from the station, which is very convenient.

Amenities
You might even say that the amenities are better than a 5star hotel! First, it has a universal remote control for everything in the room. It has a big bed, a huge flat screen TV, a water dispenser, a ref, a jacuzzi, and a steam bath! What more can you ask for? Plus, if you're feeling a little you know, there's a selection of porn outside-it is a love motel after all. The most important part about it is it's CLEAN. It's an old place but it's been maintained really well.

Cons
Pillows - the pillows, which for me is very important, are really hard.
Aircon - the air conditioner was right on top of the bed and the draft was hitting me all night, leaving me with a cold the next day.

Verdict
It really is a GREAT motel with excellent amenities. I did not get a good night's sleep though because of the pillows and the air conditioner. Still, given the chance, I would stay here again and probably request for different pillows and move the bed away from the air conditioner.
