We stayed for 2 nights and everything met our expectations.
The room was excellent (L22) and the staff were helpful.
The location was perfect for a short break.
The 'contracted-out' buffet breakfast was adequate.
We enjoyed the gym.
Please note, our trip was organised by an operator so we do not know the room rate and cannot comment on value.

first the good points: good huge (!) rooms, i got one with a kitchenette, and washing machine. The bathroom was a cubicle in the room. The room was considerably bigger than what i had been staying in, so was pretty impressed by this. The hotel is just across the beach and overlooks a street full of restaurants and bars on one side, and shopping shops on the other. Good clean rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast is in the VIPS restaurant on the 2nd floor, but the access is from the outside. And this is where the issue is. The lobby for us, was to access the 4th floor and then change elevators to go to the lobby on the 6th floor, and then catch the same elevator to go to your rooms. for breakfast, one had to come to the ground floor and then take the escalator to go the restaurant! Sort of confusing and takes some getting used to, but worth it for the rooms.

Wifi was free, and each room had a router which had the user name and password written on it, duly typed. the instructions for the airconditioning and TV remotes were vague, and one had to guess what buttons to press, but support from housekeeping was immediate when called to ask.

there are two PCs in the lobby on the 6th and 4th floor which one can access for internet too.
breakfast was Korean, with limited choices for non Asians, (ok, you would get choice of 2 fruits, bread rolls, and scrambled eggs, tea/coffee/2 juices, to be fair and accurate) so would be adequate for most people.

Would stay here again,

I spent 2 weeks staying at the Seacloud Hotel while in Busan for business. This hotel is in a fantastic location right across the street from Haeundae Beach, and the Busan Aquarium, a 5 minute taxi ride from Shinsegae Department Store, and is surrounded by lots of good restaurants and bars.

The front desk service was polite and efficient, and had power adaptors available for use. The rooms are large and well equipped, but the layout is rather poor. The bathrooms are in a sort of "cube" in the middle of the room, and if you were to turn on the light in the middle of the night, you would wake up everyone else in the room. Heating and cooling the rooms can be a bit tricky for a Westerner to figure out, but once you get the hang of it, the room can certainly be kept at a comfortable temperature. My room was equipped with a small kitchenette, and had a complimentary bottle of water every day. The beds are quite firm, and only have a fitted sheet, comforter and duvet cover...no flat sheet.

I did have some complaints about the hotel's amenities. My biggest complaint was that there was no wifi available in the rooms. Use of the internet on the computer in the room was 15,000 won per 24 hour period. My company paid for the internet, but that's a bit ridiculous to pay out of pocket in this day and age; especially when almost everywhere you go in Korea has a free wifi network.

My 2nd complaint about the hotel lies with the breakfast buffet. I am well aware that this is not America, and I should not expect American fare. But the undercooked eggs and bacon on the breakfast buffet aren't just an idle complaint, that's a health hazard. Also as a warning to Westerners...don't expect to find good coffee here unless you go to a coffee shop. Instant coffee is much more popular in this part of the world.

And finally, the hotel gym. I have traveled all over the world, and have almost never found a good complimentary hotel gym. This hotel actually did have some good equipment in the gym, but the location was in a sort of atrium for the top 10 floors. So basically anyone staying in those top 10 floors could come out into the hallways and observe you working out. The lack of privacy was rather unnerving.

All in all, the Seacloud hotel is great for its location and price, but always remember that you get what you pay for where hotels are concerned.

Room Tip: Make sure you get one with a sea view!

I spent a night in the Seacloud having gone to Busan on business. Hotel was really good value, had nice views and (in my experience) was clean. The rooms were strange in terms of layout, I'm not sure what the kitchen added other than to move the bathroom into the middle of the room. The bathrooms were bizarre (more like staying in a countryside Korean pension than a hotel), going at night meant turning on a light which would wake anyone else in the room because of the glass walls. Breakfast was basic but pleasant.

In summary the hotel was exactly what you would hope given the cost.

We stayed at this hotel for the Busan Film Festival. We were in a very spacious suite and the amenities of the room were overall quite good. We were particularly happy with the kitchenette that had a washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, stove and dishes.
However, the hotel wasn't as clean as it used to be (my husband stayed there several years ago). The walls were a bit dingy and the bathroom wall had some mysterious stains on them.

The elevators were also quite strange-- the lights that usually indicate an elevator was on its way seemed to blink randomly, so you don't know which one was coming. The hotel also had a gym, but rather than being in its own enclosed room, it was in the open where everyone in the atrium could look down and watch you work out. It did not make for a pleasant work out experience.

Most annoying was the lack of free wi-fi in the hotel. There was a desktop PC in the suite, but the internet fees were really high. There were 2 computers in the lobby where there was internet service, but obviously they were constantly occupied. There was no free wi-fi even in the lobby, unlike many other hotels in the area like the Novotel across the street.

The breakfast buffet was so-so. The scrambled eggs were strangely very soupy (not sure what the liquid was). There was a decent variety of food though if you go after 9:30, often a lot of the food was already gone and not replenished. There was also the irritating policy of not allowing guests to take any food out, so if we were running late, we couldn't just grab a yogurt or roll to go.

Room Tip: Suites have nice kitchenettes and amenities including washing machine. But there is no tub. A standa...

This hotel is in a great location on Haeundae beach and has a great value if you are on a budget. The rooms are large but but not very clean. The breakfast is terrible, with soggy scramled egg, very limited selection and really not worth the price.
The gym is just in a open space outside some of the rooms so if you like to work out in the morning you'll be waking other guests up.

Room Tip: Make sure you don't get a room outside the fitness area

Good hotel for the price, right on Haeundae beach - great views from the room and very large rooms. Very close to the metro too.

Gym left a lot to be desired, as it was in the middle of the atrium and looked like an afterthought. Pool was drained even though it was only late September and still very warm. No Wifi in rooms, although they have in room computers and charge 10,000 KRW for internet per day.

The room was very comfortable, but needed a bit of maintenance.

If you are looking to travel around Busan - this is a great hotel, but definitely not a resort experience.

I would highly recommend the Jimjilbang in the Shinsegae department store a few metro stops away, which is truly excellent.
