This is a friendly, attractive restaurant with good Northern Italian food, a solid, unpretentious wine selection, and excellent service. The menu is nicely balanced, and the dishes are well prepared. Portions are generous, but not overwhelming. The owner is present, and she clearly attends to the details that make a meal here a good experience. The waitstaff is young, enthusiastic, and genuinely interested in food. Among the attractions of this place is that it's only a few miles from the airport and the many hotels along Wolf Road.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Not your typical Italian Restaurant fare. Some classy takes on traditional dishes but some real nice original dishes of their own.

We live in the area and visited Mezzanotte Restaurant for the second time.

We started off with warm bread. We dipped it in a tasty olive mixture in oil and balsamic vinegar.

My husband enjoyed his calamare and a pasta dish with a lobster creme sauce. I had a roasted beet salad and short ribs in a porcini sauce.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely visit again and recommend it to friends.

What a surprise, a three course dinner for $25! The menu is varied, the atmosphere is great. White tablecloths, simple decor. Started with a grapefruit martini, which was great. Bread hot out of the oven, with oil and olive taponade. I had great mussels appetizer, in white sauce. Companion had an unusual bruschetta with a mushroom topping. Nice, but smallish Caesar salads followed, with white anchovies. Many places do not have anchovies any longer. Entree was monkfish, done wonderfully, on a bed of grain, with onions, artichokes. Unusual and well done. Others had sliced hangar steak, and the gnocchi of the day. All in all a great meal, especially if they continue the special. Our server Kristen was attentive and pleasant, despite being overextended.

I was coming back to Albany after being away on business for a month and we went there from the airport for a special treat and to relax. This restaurant has the unique quality of being tops for nood and a local hang out which makes for a great atmosphere. Try the Saratoga chips with gorgonzola cheese.
