An absolute charming retro restaurant which kept the atmosphere of some time ago. We were the first guests for dinner and were not in a hurry, so the chef and his staff could have put a nice effort and their pride in preparing our meal. The starters were not creating any issue issue, oysters and lobster bisque. The soup was not bad, but somewhat too watery. Then the main courses, lobster tail with risotto and some vegetables and a NY strip steak with mashed potato and vegetables. The hottest part of the first dish was the lemon and the steak was warm, not very warm. The mashed potato was at best lukewarm and the vegetables were as cold as the plates the dishes were served on. The lobster was well (pre-?)cooked while the sauce was also cold. The steak was well prepared (medium) but the cut was so-so; a strip steak should not contain any nerves and the fat should only be at one side of the meat and not also at the heart of the piece. The eadible part of the steak was like 60% and this should be 20-25% more. The waiter offered to have our dishes heated without harming the lobster or steak. Our plates went for 10 minutes to the kitchen and then we got them back. The meat leavings were regrouped next to the steak on the plate and now everything was lukewarm. My wife's plate did not get to this level. Since we deteste arrogance and careless behaviors of chefs we paid our bill and left. The fact that as well the chef and the restaurant manager did not attempt to show up and tried to understand the problem but that it was left to our waiter to 'handle' us did not help. For those who are not familiar with my reviews: we dine out at least once a week all over the world in all kinds of places eating all kinds of simple and top-end meals. Most of our reviews are positive. My advise: don't go to this place, management does not take you serious as a guest and customer and the outcome of your evening out is foodwise unpredictable.
