The wait can be long, but it's well worth it. The raspberry oatmeal pancakes are fantastic! The coffee is wonderful, and the service is consistently very good. My father owns a restaurant and is known for his critiquing abilities--he, too, was very impressed. Sad I moved away because now it's a longer drive. Used to a be a regular spot for me because it was so good. Very reasonable prices, too.

Busy and small, with a fairly rapid turnover, but terrific food and excellent, friendly service. I saw the mention of Irish bacon, and ordered the waffle (came with real butter and maple syrup) with a side of the bacon - it was sublime. My partner went traditional with eggs over easy (cooked precisely right), hash (he thinks it was from a can, but our usual at-home brand, so he liked it). The coffee was fresh & refilled regularly. Tea was brewed in an individual pot. The bill - before tip - was $20 for the 2 of us!!

We were on our way to a funeral and were told the wait could be 1/2 hour. However, we actually waited 25 minutes, the greeter had given us menus during our wait and cued the servers that we had a time constraint, so we gave our order as soon as we were seated and we were in and out in just under an hour.

In town for mom'sbirthday and know this is one of her favorites so took her there for brunch. Fantastic new twists on standard breakfast fare. This time had chocolate-expresso stuffed french toast, while mom went with raspberry oatmeal pancakes. As always great. Been there a few times and always leave stuffed and pleased. At peak brunch time (10-11 am) wait can be a while especially for groups (solo or twosome can usually fit in at small booths or at the bar). Has outdoor seating but the wait line for seating quickly goes out the door so not sure if the atmosphere is as nice and relaxing as it could be. Have looked at the regular menu but never have been then other than breakfast but on my list to try.

We were in Albany for a wedding and wanted a good breakfast place. Madison's End Cafe is that place. Great food - nice cocktails. We had to wait a few minutes but it was worth the wait. We really liked the energy in the place. Service was very good. We had the basic breakfast with substitutions - bacon and hash. The eggs (over medium) cooked to perfection. The bacon could not have been better - lean, just a tad crispy - cooked perfectly. Bread excellent. I'd say this was definately 5 stars however the home fries - cooked to perfection were a little off in flavor. Can't say what was going on at the grill but there was something. In any case, when we go back to Albany - the Madison Cafe will be on the agenda. Great Place! We recommend!
