Beautiful atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, Great food! Very pro! Feels like you're in an episode of Top Chef! Amuse Bouche from the chef, lots of waitstaff for breads, silver ware appetizers, wi e, plate clearing, more silver ware, entrees, water, etc.

Located in downtown Albany, a jewel of a restaurant with the uniqueness of Indonesian and French cuisines. Wide variety of appetizers and main choices, seafood predominant but something for everyone. Foie gras appetizer prepared pan seared and cold, both were excellent. The risotto appetizer was light and very flavorful, an excellent choice. The tasting menu was excellent with the excellent braised short ribs to veggie lumpia. Portion sizes perfect and spices were a symphony of savory, sweet, and spice bringing a little heat. Wine list very good, nice selection of European and Calif choices. Fairly priced by restaurant standards.

My husband took me to this restaurant for our anniversary and it still ranks as one of the top meals I've ever had. For starters, the service is exemplary. The atmosphere was just lovely. The menu is incredibly interesting and the food was sublime. It IS pricey. REALLY pricey. But for that special meal that you won't forget, Yono's is your place!

First the good. The service-excellent. The liquor choices extensive. Atmosphere relaxing, quiet, elegant. The food...NOT SO GOOD! I am shocked at all the great reviews for this restaurant. I had a steak (Usually don't order steak out because I can make a great steak at home) which was terrible. It was tasteless and slightly over done from the MR I ordered but that would not have made a difference in the taste. My husband had the indonesian plate which was good meaning it wasn't bad, it was nothing special, and too expensive to be JUST OK I think when we see great reviews for restaurants, hotels etc on trip advisor, they turn out to be just that----great. We were so looking forward to a great meal at Yono's but I guess everyone gets disappointed once in a while. Pick another restaurant in Albany like Jacks Oyster House. Much much better!
