It's a well designed building. But compared to the Egg and the New York State Capitol, it's nothing.

Tall building... views of downtown. Nothing special. If you're in the area it's okay to visit but not worth a special trip

Visiting the tower deck was a very joyful and interesting experience, with stunning views of the Albany surroundings.

Corning Tower observation area is on the 42nd floor -- and the elevator is non-stop all the way up! The sites are far and wide. Walk completely around for a 360=degree view of the city and beyond. This is a good way to have a bird's eye view of all there is to offer. After noticing the Governor's Mansion a few blocks away, we walked over to see it. The Hudson River is wonderful to behold, especially for someone from California.

The observation deck has nice views but I would not recommend the time spent for this. The plaza is usually abandoned on weekends unless there is an event. Buildings are unique at Rockefeller plaza but spend time touring Capitol, visiting State Museum, etc. if visiting Albany.
