Went last Saturday night, Carmine was the host that night, seated without reservations. Very nice salad/tapas type bar, no bowls available for some items that could have used them. Ordered Capirhina, not good, also ordered the Brazilian dark beer, different, but I would have preferred Brahma, which they did not have. Two excellent sides, grilled vegs. and parmesan polenta-fantastic. Gauchos came with filet mignon, top and bottom round, lamb-I do not eat lamb, beer marinated chicken wings, chorizo, pork loin, chicken marinated in spices. All very good, great chorizo. Waiter acted as if he totally hated his job, Gaucho very nice smile. I have visited Brazil on several occasions, and have visited the usual rodizios, Fago de Chao, Plataforma churrascaria in NYC, OK not on same level, but very good nonetheless for Albany, and we look forward to next visit. Have to make better Capihrinas though, but a nice touch. Huge shrimp on bar. Sauces, they serve four, waiter never bothered to name them, but they included a nice spiced pepper melange, a brown basil sauce for the chicken, a chimichura sauce for the steaks,( green sauce), and a mix of powdered spices also for the meats. Recommend trying this place. Also had a coupon, given to waiter when we ordered, did not take it off bill, had to remind him. $48 for two coupon, regular $62 for couple for complete salad bar and rodizio, you could also have only salad bar-but why?
