My first time dinning here. Don't be turned ott with the strip mall setting. Nice, neat and comfortable interior. Bistro feel. No Tap Beer and limited wine selection. As you might expect the risotto is the star here. I chose surf and turf risotto. The Steak was a 6 -a little tough and not very flavourful. The seafood risotto that came with it was a 9. Stunning companion was much smarter and chose the seafood risotto. She thought it was outstanding. Service was friendly but waitstaff was very young and not well trained. My waitress did not understand when I asked if the menu was a la carte and was halfway sitting on the table next to us as she took our order. Did not really interfer with dinner but a little training would go along way. There are better resteraunts of this type in the area (Garlic Lovers in Troy) but Risotto in worth a try.

Always a winner. Enjoy making a full meal of the appetizers which included crab cakes to die for, lamb kibbeh (which are somewhat like meatballs made with bulghur) and the three spreads with pita. Topped off with a bottle of reasonably priced pinot noir and hubby and I had a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price. The service is always spot-on and the atmosphere is young and friendly!

Clean, nice fresh atmosphere in this Albany eatery in Loudonville. The menu is heavy on risotto and has Tapas and Entrees. Wine list is disappointing in number of selections, although we were able to find a reasonably priced Malbec. Garlic and herb infused Olive oil and Pita pieces were outstanding. My wife had the mushroom risotto (with various Mushroom types) and I had the seafood version with mussels, shrimp, scallops and pieces of clam along with herbed garlic toast. The risotto was a tad underdone to my taste, but had great flavor. The couple we were with both had the swordfish entree with lightly steamed vegetables and a starch and they seemed to enjoy their dinners.
Final thoughts: the place is noisy with the wood, glass and granite. My wife had a Grand Marnier coffee afterward that was supposed to come with whipped cream, but arrived without and we had to have it brought over in a dish. She commented that it was the worst version of a "fancy" coffee that she ever had.

We were at Risotto a year ago and had a good meal. This time the chicken appetizer was dry, and our swordfish, which we both ordered "underdone" was overdone to a farethewell. The service was friendly, but we had to switch wine glasses around each time we ordered another glass until we had them correctly placed, as the server apparently did not know which was which. It turned out to be quite a bit of money for a disappointing, though certainly not horrible, dinner.

Our first visit to this Albany establishment was everything we were told it would be. This cozy, well planned eatery has a small but sufficient bar. It is quite adequate for the total space with a friendly, very attentive bar tender. We are here with out monthly dining friends and excited to see the menu. It has a nice selection of varied appetizers and small platesto choose from (close to 20 in all). Our choice was the calamari which came with two sauces (lemon dill béchamel and spicy tomato sauce) and was delicious. There were 6 choices of risotta and one additional special. The menu is rounded out with several chicken, fish, pasta and steak options. 3 of us opted for a risotto while another had the steak. A house salad began our dinner. A tasty bowl of mixed grees and balsamic vinegarette. Each of our risotto was a nice size portion with plenty of ingredients. Several of us left with leftover risotta to enjoy at home. Our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgable. She really added to our much enjoyed experience. We passed on a dessert and were quite happy with a final bill that didn't leave us broke. We highly suggest this dining experience for you to try if you're looking for something different thatn the usual in the Capital District.
