“Great atmosphere”

What a good surprise this was. Food is great and ambiance is also great. Only thing, make sure you have cash when you go, they don't accept credit cards. Great place to watch soccer.

“Great German place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

I grew up going to German places with my family. It's been sad to see so many good German restaurants shut down over the years. So I was thrilled when Wolff's opened and have been several times with friends and family. The owners did a great job with the design and the place has a lot of nice architectural features.

The food is, well, just OK and will be satisfying when you're hungry after several beers. However, don't go thinking you'll get authentic German food. And don't think this is what all German food tastes like! Sure, the menu sounds German enough and offers German staples like wursts, rouladen, rotkohl, and schnitzel but it's not on par with real, quality German food. The food was much better when it first opened. I see they have a newer menu so I'm hopeful they will once again make fresh pomme frites and step up the quality of their other offerings.

It's a great place to sit at the bar, enjoy a weissbier, and catch a game of soccer or rugby. My husband is a big soccer fan and this is the best place to go. It's also a great place to bring your kids to during the day for a bite to eat. Overall this place rocks and I'm happy to support it. It's a fun and lively atmosphere and it's nice to see a German place doing so well. I'd love to see a German place open in one of the old buildings in Schenectady. How about it Wolff's?

“Great beer and wurst = fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

The place is laid back w/ picnic tables and bar stools for seating. There is an outstanding selection of German beers at a reasonable price. Similarly, the food (I've had bratwurst and schnitzel plates) is reasonable and very tasty. It's pretty lively and can get crowded, but definitely worth the visit.

“Not Your Ordinary Blue Collar Saloon.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

It's a bar with German workmanlike attitude. Open area, sawdust on the floor (intentionally)... long bar area... food is okay.
