Thankfully we just needed accommodation for a quick overnight stay. This hotel was very inexpensive so we should have been prepared for it, but we found it depressing and dilapidated. Everything about it screams cheap and old and in need of some TLC. There was that unmistakable smell of an old motel, with its old patterned carpet and unattractive decorating.
We were 2 couples traveling together and had 2 rooms. Both were depressing, dusty, had a slight smell of I don't know what, plus the bathroom had a hair on the floor and the corners hadn't been scrubbed, the light switches were grubby and/or cracked plus I left a finger mark in the dust on the lamp base. The old bedspread had stains on it and we put it on the floor so it wasn't up near our face. We were really cringing when we got into bed, hoping it was clean.
Breakfast was terrible, with a cheap and miserable selection of stale tasting food.
The best thing about the inn is the crazy Italian restaurant next door. Thank goodness that was there, literally a few paces from the front of the inn, as we had a really fun and very big Italian meal for a very reasonable price.
There is no excuse for a hotel room not being cleaned properly and I would certainly not recommend this one unless the budget absolutely didn't stretch any further.More
