Tucked away in the busy city of Albany, NY - The Wine Bar & Bistro on Lark offers unique, well prepared meals - especially the apps and has an inviting wine list with lots of "hidden treasures". Small place - really good service and a fun time! Take a chance - it's worth it!

Step down to a good dining experience on Lark Street. Grilled dishes are better than average, but don't expect a large portion. Appetizers are very good an varied. The wine selection is one of the most eclectic in the Capital District. The staff is very knowledgeable of their selections and what would be best with what in you price range. All in all, a very good dining experience!

Four of us went and sat at the outdoor patio. We had a very nice meal -- we had the steak which was very flavorful with a nice balsalmic reduction, the duck which had a nice gnochi side, the special chicken which was very moist and tender, and a pasta that had a nice tomato sauce. Everything was delicious. Prices were reasonable and the service was also good. We had a reasonably priced wine which went well with the food. We had been to the Wine Bar last year and it was good but this was excellent all around.

We sat in the outdoors patio, which was lovely: hanging plants, statues, fresh air. I can imagine it getting crowded and loud as it is small, but it was pleasant when we were there. The service was good, the food was good but not totally out of this world - I had the crepes, which were a bit soggy, and the salad, which was also a touch soggy. My dining partner had the scallops and enjoyed them. I would definitely go back,

If you are looking for a classy upbeat restaurant this is the place to be. Everyone is gathering with friends and family to enjoy a nice dinner, lots of chatter and noise, vibrant. Service is great, the food is wonderfuly. Enjoyable evening.
