This restaurant serves great food and has a reasonable wine selection. The service was attentive but not bothersome. Sit outside in the patio if you can. The restaurant does not take reservations so you may want to get there early. The bar has limited seating also so it's not like you will want to wait for an hour to get a table. Lastly, parking in this neighborhood can be challenging. Both are good reasons to arrive early.

What a lovely evening - it started with our walk up hill from 74 State Street and ended with a gem of a find with the Wine Bar and Bistro. Restaurant was full inside so we elected to eat on the patio. Even though we are from Texas and it was a chily fall night in NY, the patio was comfortable (would suggest one heater, but that's my southern bones talking). Our waitress was knowledgeble on the wine list and the servers were very attentive. The menu is priced for small and large portions which makes it great to order several items and share with the table. Highly recommend the Bistro.

Cozy restaurant; outside and indoor seating; nice selection of appetizers. The wine was average and the dessert selection was limited. No milk so no coffee either. Main courses were decent but uneven.

This is by no mean an inexpensive place. But, the food quality and wine selection is commensurate with the cost. Service is helpful, informative and a bit too friendly. They appear to believe they are the food educators. It's not annoying, but slightly tiresome.

Worth the visit.; $100-150/2 with real wines.

This place is a hidden gem on Lark Street. The patio manages to transport you out of the city into a secluded garden of sorts, both quite and cool. Paired with their excellent wine selection (check out happy hour) this really is a great place to sit back and unwind. The food here is equally good though a bit pricey. I highly recommended sampling the appetizer menu which has many exciting flavors and combinations while leaving you plenty of cash to sample several wines by the glass.
