The rooms are very nice and the hotel is conveniently located. Although I was in albany for a one day business trip, the hotel would be perfect for a longer stay. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the selection was very good. The staff at the front desk were courteous and very helpful

Have stayed here numerous times over the past year, solo and duo travelers on family business. Every room I've had has exceeded my expectations. Rooms are large, well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. The full kitchen is a full kitchen but for an oven, possibly a fire regulation: a TownePlace in Virginia did have an oven.
The front desk and maintenance staff have shown "Southern Hospitality" even though this is upstate New York. Never a problem, very helpful, solicitous, and you should see them when a mini-crisis with an elderly person develops. They deserve many gold stars for letting us use their rolling office chair as a wheelchair that night.
Great for family meals; large table, improvise seating, lovely evening view out picture window.
The breakfast bar has quite a bit of healthy food. Real oatmeal, nuts, raisins, boiled eggs sometimes, fresh fruit. There is a waffle maker,
and other white carbs are also available, as well as cold cereals with milk and juice. Because of the wonderfully comfortable beds, I try to book nowhere but Marriott from now on!
I have rated that it's a quiet hotel, but I expect that all depends on your room and what else is booked into it at the time of your stay. I've never had a problem. Very close to Albany Medical Center.

Room Tip: Great view from seventh floor. Elderly mom says, "It looks like Paris!".

This hotel has definitely gotten better than the last time we stayed. It was dumpy and the front desk person appeared to hate her life. This time it was new and fresh and clean and the staff was very nice and friendly. I've had better breakfasts at other Marriotts but it still did the trick and the coffee was good. The room was very comfortable and spotless.

FYI: Ice machines aren't available on every floor. Floor We were on the 6th floor and the ice machine was out of ice so the next available floor with ice was the 4th floor. Not a big deal but if you need to be on the same floor as an ice machine, I recommend asking if it works and to be on that floor.

Nice hotel just outside of the plaza area. Desk staff were very helpful but breakfast area is small and service could be better. Plenty of free parking but be sure to lock your car. Plenty of food options close by.

Room Tip: Corner suite was quiet

This is a nice hotel. I appreciated the 24/7 welcoming hot and cold beverages. We arrived with a bit of a frustration, since we were given a room that wasn't fully cleaned, so the manager of the hotel quickly gave us a new upgraded room that was huge.
The rooms come with many amenities that were beyond our needs but it's nice having a full kitchen and a large office space. The king bed and fresh bathroom were deluxe. Being our room was so spacious, may have made us think that the TV should have been larger.
Breakfast was included and was very good. There is some pinched space in the breakfast area, making it a bit crowded during peak breakfast times.
The only thing that we did not like during our stay was the heavy essence of chlorine in the pool space. We thought it was overwhelmingly strong and that ventalation in the pool areas need improvement. Either that, or someone needs to ease up on the chlorintion of the pool water.
This stay gets 5 stars due to the quality room upgrade, ease of parking, and overall services. The breakfast gets 4 stars due to the tight space of the serving area. The pool and sauna area gets 3 stars due to the lack of ventalation.
