We had a great experience last week with Nigel and the Indigo team! We researched excursion options and debated between investing in a few separate trips with group tours or one fully customized private option. We chose the latter with Indigo and have no regrets.
The booking process was simple and responsive, though potentially noteworthy to inquire about, their credit card machine was not up and running so we had to be prepared with cash beforehand. Like everything in the Seychelles, we felt the price was up there, but when comparing similar group tours that went to these locations in parts of their different tours, it wasn't a massive change.
We did Curieuse Island, snorkelling around St. Pierre and Cocos and an afternoon in La Digue. Travelling by boat around Praslin to Curieuse, we were able to see different smaller islands and beaches on Praslin to get a good feel for the area that you can't get on land. On Curieuse, we saw a little history and then the tortises, being able to move at our own pace. Then, it was off to snorkelling before lunch. Because there were showers over Cocos, we stopped a bit sooner to snorkel in St. Pierre to wait out the rain with a bonus add-on snorkelling site that we hadn't planned to visit (which we had the freedom to do). Across the two spots, we saw a bunch of fish and corals, plus a sea turtle. Then, on La Digue, we enjoyed a good Creole lunch with Nigel before he left us off to chill by ourselves on Anse Source D'Argent and the island.
All along the way, Nigel was extremely knowledgeable and information, sharing all the history and insights we could take in which was great (though asking us if we were interested in hearing it before we did!). He even went snorkelling with us to lead us in the right direction and pointed out various types of sea life we were seeing (he's a PADI certified scuba instructor). A nice touch.
All in all, we felt spoiled and loved the opportunity to see everything on our own terms. A great day in the Seychelles with nice company.
