We spent 5 nights here in the middle of August as our introduction to the beautiful Seychelles.

This boutique hotel has just 14 rooms giving it an intimate feel where every guest is welcomed and looked after with a personal touch.

Alice the manager is gracious, charming and dedicated to ensuring every last detail of your stay meets her impeccable taste and standards.

Rooms are spacious, spotless and come with thoughtful details such as fresh water in the fridges, topped up daily, crisp cotton bathrobes and large balconies - the sea-facing rooms are well worth paying extra for. You can watch the sunset, tropical birds and the fruit bats (or 'Flying Foxes') swooping from tree to tree both day and night!

Staff are polite, friendly and attentive. There is no buffet style here, the table service from Tapas and the gorgeous Monita is in keeping with the ethos and values of excellent customer service and the food was the best we had on the island (thank you Henry!) Please ignore the pizza and pasta and have a Creole curry instead.

With the help of Alice and the delightful Meryle on reception we booked a car for two days and saw the best of the wild south beaches and the forests of the north on the Anse Major Trail. We are convinced that ever-jovial owner Jeffery has picked the best spot on Mahé for his delightful hotel.

The beach is magnificent, unlike many others, swimming, snorkelling and kayaking are possible (hire either single or double kayaks free from reception and explore the lagoon!).

The gardens are immaculate, offering chairs and sunloungers, either around the pool, in the shade of the trees or out in the sunshine. Secluded and largely empty the bay feels like a private slice of paradise

+ It is located in a serene area. On one side there is the sea and on the other, mountains. It is away from the hustle bustle of tourists. A perfect location to relax.
+ We booked a sea facing room. It’s clean and well maintained. Bathroom is well stocked. There was a huge private balcony from where the view of the sea could be enjoyed.
+ Breakfast was good- starting with fruits and then choosing from the menu.
+ Wifi speed was fast.
+ The staff (each and every member) are very helpful, cordial and friendly. This really enhanced my stay. Special mention to Tapas.
• You’ll need a car rental to get around. Taxis seem a bit pricey. Though there is a bus stop but all areas/sights are difficult to cover in bus. We rented a car from a co. Suggested by the hotel.

Overall we had a really good stay! Will definitely revisit when back in Seychelles.

The room was very clean and well appointed. Waiting staff pleasant and competent. Food was good, breakfast was fairly simple but perfectly adequate. Evening meal was very good. We enjoyed the sunbeds on the beach but it was not a great beach for swimming

Crown Beach Hotel is nicely located in a quiet, beautiful beach on the South-East part of Mahe Island. Their service is immaculate, my e-mails were responded swiftly and all our needs were catered. We had a junior suite with a sea view, and it was even more amazing than what we expected.

The Hotel has a little pool, which is really well maintained and the beach is just 20 metres from the pool. They also have sit-on-top kayaks, which are nice for paddling around the lagoon area.

Kitchen produces excellent food. After we had been fishing, we brought back fillets from two big fish, and the kitchen pampered us for the next two days with meals from the fish we had caught.

Excellent choice, and we were extremely happy with my wife that we chose this place. Thank you all!

Room tip: Rooms with the sea view are worth every extra cent you spend, and try get a room from the second floor.
