This is where the coco de mer palm tree grows and is fantastic nature park like a wild forest with huge coco de mer palm trees making it feel as pre historic as it is. They charge entrance fees and you can walk around very easy, as it is not steep and easy to manoeuvre.

Discovery Agri Tours is a highly professional boutique travel agency. Alrick, the company owner and tour guide for our tour is not only very knowledgeable and extremely service oriented, but also a lot of fun.
We had a spectacular time discovering the highlights of Mahe island under his guidance.

Our tour included among others remote view points with fantastic beaches (the ones, only locals would know of), snorkeling excursion, introduction to flora and fauna (interactive quiz learning to distinguish trees by the shape of their leaves and fruits in different stages of maturity), geology, politics and history as well as insights in current industry of Seychelles.

On top we were provided a fantastic creolic lunch with a variety of local food and flavors.

This tour (guide) is a “must do” if you are interested in culture and nature highlights of the Seychelles and worth every penny Alrick charges.

Clear recommendation!

Have fun.

What an amazing experience . Alrick thank you so much for all you did for us on our recent trip to Seychelles . Lindy was great with the bookings , and your kindness and passion for your beautiful country is inspiring .

Alrick was very patient and kind with our young children , ( 4 and 6 years old ) , who coped remarkably well with the 11 hr tour . We all learnt so much about the islands and the environment , and had a great time snorkeling , feeding the fish , beach hopping , driving over the island and seeing Seychelles from a local point of view .

The highlight for me was the visit to Alricks family home , and the delicious dinner his sister prepared . Learning about the Seychellois way of life and culture was really eye opening . I would highly recommend a tour with him , and when we are back in Seychelles we will certainly book again with him .

My wife and I recently spent out honeymoon in the Seychelles and we booked a tour with Alrick so that we could see everything that Mahe had to offer. Alrick's tour has to be the absolute best way to experience the island. He's one of the friendliest guys you're ever likely to meet and what he doesn't know about the flora and fauna of the place isn't worth knowing!

He showed us secluded beaches and waterfalls (places we would never have found by ourselves), joined us in the water for scuba diving in the morning, pointed out lots of different species of plants and animals (I swear he's got a Superman-like sense of awareness because he can spot the tiniest animals 500 yards away whilst driving) and generally gave us the most amazing perspective on the place. To top it all off he took us to his village in the evening and, after a brief stop to spot some fruit bats in the wild, we enjoyed some fantastic creole cooking and conversation in his family home.

This was such a brilliant way to learn about the Seychelles and Mahe in particular. If you get the chance you should definitely get Alrick to show you around. Even though it's a bit more expensive than a package trip with one of the main tour companies there really is no comparison to be made in terms of the service provided - Alrick wins hands down. He even came for a jog with me a couple of days later in Beau Vallon a couple of days after we took the tour! Thanks Alrick, you helped make our honeymoon really amazing. Keep doing what you're doing.

We found Discovery Agri Tours on the internet and, wanting an insight into the Seychellois culture and life, booked a tour with Alrick. Email correspondence with Lindy, Alrick's partner, was excellent with prompt replies to our questions.
As arranged Alrick met us at our hotel at 9.30. We immediately felt comfortable in his company and an easy rapport was quickly established.
As a family - 2 adults and 2 teenage boys - Alrick tailor made a tour which appealed to all of us. We learnt about the history of the islands; early settlers, pirates and the abolition of slavery. We learnt a little of the government and economy. Alrick has an in depth knowledge of the flora and fauna and wildlife of the Seychelles and we tried many fruits and spices along the way.
We wanted to discover the secrets of Mahe; places we wouldn't find independently - Alrick took us to deserted coves, hidden bays and waterfalls. He also showed us the best snorkelling sites, joining us in the water to point out the wonderful marine life.
We visited the markets in Victoria and drove over the mountains through tea plantations, stopping to admire the breathtaking views at Mission Lodge.
The highlight of the day was a visit to Alrick's village and home where we joined Alrick's family for a delicious creole feast of job fish, shark chutney, chicken, cassava and green papaya salad. Dessert comprised a selection of tropical fruits - water apple, mango and papaya. Over dinner we discussed village life and learnt more about Seychellois culture and customs.
We returned to our hotel at 10 pm, our lives enriched and buzzing from the sensory overload of the day's experiences.
We also booked another tour with Alrick, this time by boat, cruising the unspoilt North West bays from Bel Ombre to Baie Ternay Marine Park. We snorkelled, swam and feasted on a tasty barbeque prepared by the skipper at Anse Major, a stunning cove accessible only by boat or hike from Danzilles. Alrick took us on a short trek through the forest, pointing out a disused cinnamon plantation and more wildlife. Alrick also showed the boys how to remove coconut husks to obtain the nut - no easy feat with bear hands! By the end of the holiday they were experts and we had an ample supply of coconuts!
Our holiday in the Seychelles was made all the more memorable by Alrick's tours. He is THE guide to choose if you want a unique and informative insight into everything Seychellois. Alrick also went out of his way to recommend restaurants and provide advice on places and islands to visit for our next week's stay on Praslin.
Thank you Alrick for some very special, unforgettable days and thank you for coming to say goodbye as we arrived back on Mahe from Praslin for our journey home.
