“High quality facilities at a beautiful spot on the island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

This resort was really excellent - both the service and the facilities.
- The quality of the rooms, buildings and facilities (inc gym and spa) is very good. Very new buildings, well equipped gym, uber relaxing spa, Apple mini driven online services, many many free films on demand, free wifi across the entire resort.
- Choice at breakfast is abundant, and did not make us bored over a week of stay.
- Great water activities (diving + free snorkelling, swimming, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, sailing etc). There is a great snorkelling spot right in the resort's bay, or go to Ternay Bay next door. I swam several times next to sea turtles!!
- If you are into running, jog along road outside entrance(s) to the right until the church (flat) or left until Ternay Bay (2.7km but very hilly).
- Room service for dinner on private balcony is highly recommended. However be prepared that when you order sushi they might bring you whatever they have rather than what you ordered exactly; just be up for some surprise!
- There is a small shop just outside of North entrance for some local snaks and drinks. Open late but closed for an extended lunch break.

On the negative side:
- we were unlucky with the weather and had substantial rain all week long. If you are not a fan of water activities, such weather could be a bit difficult to deal with
- the resort restaurants are at the expensive side, and mostly buffets - however quality is really good.
- there are buggies to transport people from various points of the resort. They are far from being regular and you might have to walk more often and longer than you wanted to. Having said that, the entire resort is manageable on foot.
- the resort is a bit far from everything else (unless you have a car), including restaurants outside the resort in case you want to try something other than the several restaurants inside.

Other comments:
- expect ca 45 min taxi drive from the airport along winding roads across the hills in the middle of the island, costing ca 700 SR.
- keep some cash for the airport at departure as they do not accept cards inside the terminal.

Room Tip: Senior Rooms are all along the North Beach that is better for swimming/ water activities than the So...

If you like luxury and want to have your own Bounty story, definitely choose this hotel and you won't regret! Best beach, perfect food, smiley staff, all perfect! There are club cars which take you to South and North beach if you wish.

Great rooms , very spacious with latest technical equipment and very nice design.
Several nice restaurants across the resort from Buffett to nice private dinner.
The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This place is definitely worth coming back soon !

This resort was fantastic in every way. Staff were great & very knowledgable, spa was superb and loads of other activities to do including zip lining, abseiling and treks in the forest. Great all round resort for all.
We did stay in the villa with a butler so as expected we did get great service but I met a few other families but they all seemed very happy.Villa was fantastic in every respect and I would def recommended it if you are a family.

I have stayed in a few indian ocean island resorts and although the Ephelia was very good in terms of service and facilities, I just felt that day to day was much more expensive than anywhere else.
The food in the bookable but included in the half board option were pre-prepared and just heated and plated to serve. We actually found that the buffet restaurant allowed you to eat fresher from the chefs stations.
For the price you pay for even a junior suite you can get a lot more in either the Maldives or Mauritius.

We stayed by Costance Ephelia for 3 weeks and I am really glad about our choice: the Resort is beautiful, the staff is very professional and friendly, and overall the price/quality ratio is very good.
Resort in general: very well organised, quiet, within the nature. North side is for Senior Suite and Villas, south side for Junior Suite and most of the activities (boats, tennis, spa, 3 restaurants).
Rooms: we took a Junior Suite (60 sqm) that was wonderful and well equipped with everything we needed. Room service was efficient, and rooms really clean 24/7. Beds are spacious and bathroom has a separate bath and shower room.
Beaches: 1 north (Port Launay side) and 1 south (Port Glaud side). Both are really nice but watre is no more than 1.5-2 m deep. Water is warm (28'C) and really clean/transparent...like yoi see in postcards.
Spa: we tried every main massage available (Ephelia Relief, Deep Tension Relief, Foot Massage, Aromatherapy) and we were really satisfied by them. Spa is beautiful and huge with a lof of relaxing opportunities, including a big sauna, hammam and jacuzzis.
Tennis: 4 tennis courts available, everyone in good shape. Few people practise tennis, so no need to book a field...just go there.
To sum up our experience by Ephelia: JUST TRY IT and you will be happy about your choice as well.

Room Tip: From airport: Ephelia can provide you a transfer from and to airport for 180 EUR return trip. DO NOT...

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

We have just returned from a 1 week stay at Constance Ephelia and it was truly amazing.

On arrival we were upgraded from a senior suite to a spa villa, we were checked in pretty quickly even though it was 8am, then we were given a quick tour of the resort on a golf buggy on the way to our villa.

Our villa was fantastic to say the least, so well presented and very spacious for just the two of us we were truly spoilt. The resort were aware we were celebrating our anniversary so they had left a bottle of champagne on ice, some cakes and drinks vouchers for us which was a really lovely touch.

It was all maintained really well by our villa attendant Fernando during our stay who came twice a day to keep the place immaculate. He also made lovely origami swans, peacocks etc on our bed most days it was nice to walk in and see what creation he'd left us with. Fernando was fantastic throughout he even ran us a candle lit bath covered in flowers on our last night for us to come back to from dinner. He was a true gem.

We had Rupert as our villa host who was great at arranging our itinerary of activities, dinner reservations and transportation for us when required. He was always just a phone call away and popped in regularly to check we had everything we needed. He even saw us off at 5am in the morning on our last day!

The villas are very private, well spaced out from each other. I'd say spa villas have a good location in the overall resort as its walking distance to both south and north beach, with the pool on our terrace we had no need to actually spend time on the beach truly enjoying the privacy and convenience of what our villa had to offer.

The resort is very big but never feels busy unless you have a meal at corossol and only then you get an idea as to how many people are actually staying at the resort.

I'd say its easy to walk from north to south however when walking around if a shuttle buggy was passing they'd always offer a lift.

We were on a half board plan which is well worth it, food and drink prices are what you would expect from a 5* resort. Helios was our favourite for both lunch and dinner, little Italy night was a great dinner. Seselwa was a good choice for breakfast, smaller then corossol but we preferred that.

We tried every restaurant and they generally always have a theme nights, most of it was set menu with limited choices or buffet. With the exception of Cyann, the only restaurant not covered in the half board although you get a credit each towards your food. This restaurant is well worth the experience. We also experienced the in villa romantic dining, 6 courses of fantastic food in a perfect setting it was beautiful.

The turtles are a lovely feature it's nice see them on a walk past that way. The zip lining was fantastic, and there are daily activities on offer from both the fitness centre and boat house.

This resort is truly geared towards making your stay as pleasant as possible from the surroundings through to the hospitality.

I'd definitely go back to the Constance Ephelia and highly recommend to any couples visiting Seychelles. Thank you for an amazing holiday!
