A wonderful place! Fantastic atmosphere!
Very nice! Romantic!
The wonderful climate!
Rooms with terraces delight!
Beautiful, friendly and courteous staff!
The vast territory which is all you need!
Good beach in a large bay with a fantastic white sand!
Well, in this place is very cool!
I will definitely go there again! This was the first time when, after two weeks of vacation I wanted to stay there!
Especially for the Russians: there is no time difference with Moscow! very convenient!

This is an amazing hotel! I stayed in a beach villa with my parents and it was lovely because i even had my own room with my own pool! Everything is SO well thought out! The villa was jus 2 minutes walk to the beach...practically on it!! It had everything we needed with great smelling toiletries, was greatly decorated and had little things that just made it all the more special for example the tv doubles into a computer and it even had a welcome greeting in our name! all the instructions for using the facilities was also explained on there and there was a great amount of tv programmes aswell.

In terms of restaurant i think there were five but we ate mainly at the main restaurant with the buffet and as a vegetarian it had a great choice even for me! the staff were lovely and all so so helpful! oh and the cocktails on arrival....seriously yummy!

The only thing is that this hotel is quite far from the main town although the waterfall attraction is a few minutes drive but you take around 45mins to an hour to get to the main town if you wanted to see it. otherwise if its a lovely place to get away from everything but as a resort you will still be able to meet other people if you wanted to.

It is slightly on the expensive side but i think its definately worth what your paying. The service was great too, as we were in a villa we had a butler too and he was lovely too! It is quite a big resort and you would need a golf buggy to get you to and from places but there is like a service every 5 mins or just a call away! also the beach is one of the best on mahe especially as it is reasonably calm even in monsoon season.

I stayed in Ephelia in July 2011. We spent wonderful week there!
1. Rooms.
My Junior Suite was spacious, cosy, nicely decorated and full of light. All Junior Suites have a terrace.

2. Hotel territory.
The hotel territory is huge, green, they even have mini zoo with big turtles! There are golf buggys run about the resort during all day.

3. Beach.
Ephelia has 2 beaches - South and North beach. All Junior Suites are close tp South beach which is quite, and good for relaxing. North beach is more busy, with lots of water sports and amazing views.

4. Restaurants.
The main restaurant is "Corossol", however you can book a dinner in other restaurants ofg the hotel. The food was excellent everywhere I had dinner in Ephelia.

5. Staff.
Friendly, helpful and multilingual. . Special thanks to Natalia Udovenko - guest relations. She helped us a lot.

I definitely would recommend Ephelia to people looking for a nice relaxing beach holidays (for families or couples). Would love to come back!!!!!!

Hotel is really good, my room was beatifull and staff is mostly friendly. The only thing that was pointless for me was a dress code for the buffet restaurant. Cmon, for a beach resort, restaurant with no ac just fan why is it mandatory to wear pants for men? One staff was really rude when approaching us about it. Drinks r also too expensive. Besides that everything was lovely!

We arrived on the island after three wonderful but very hot days in Dubai at the start of our honeymoon. Unfortunately we had a three hour delay which meant we arrived late afternoon and it was raining! We were checked in quite quickly and told someone would take us to our room but after an hour I had to go to reception and remind them we were still there. To be fair the receptionist called a buggy and took us to our room herself. We found a welcome bottle of champagne in our room which had been left on ice, long gone by the time we arrived! From other reports we had read on the hotel we knew to ask for a second floor apartment and this is indeed a good tip. The balconies are another room in themselves and we spent many a peaceful, secluded evening sitting outisde listening to the waves and the rain. The TV system in the room was phenomenal and it was good to be able to send e-mails just to let family know we were safe and well.
The food was very good in all the restaurants but the main one is buffet style, I did object to the line of tiny ants wandering around the work surfaces and they were there each night so obviously not 'dealt' with and the dining tables were not cleared as quickly as they could have been. After three nights of this we decided to book our meals in the different restaurants for the rest of the honeymoon which made for a more pleasent eating experience and people did dress up as requested so added to the atmosphere.
With such good food and amazing cocktails we found it prudent to walk around the resort and even at night walking from the north to the south this was not a problem but a good spray of insect repellent is a must.
We took the local bus from just outside the North gate into
the capital which was recommended although probably best to avoid the journey back between 3 – 4pm when the schools finish. But except for getting a much better exchange rate and cheaper bottle of wine there is very little in Victoria for the tourist.
Overall it is a beautifull resort to stay in, as has been said by others some of the staff do lack training or guidance and some can seem unhelpful but other than the unexpected daily rain everything combined for a relaxing chilled out honeymoon.

Room Tip: If staying in a junior suite a second floor location offers more privacy

The hotel was 'top notch'. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The sea was crystal clear and a lovely shade of blue. All in all it was an extremely nice vacation at a superb 'honeymoon' hotel. It certainly made our honeymoon special.

We stayed at the Ephelia over December for 2 weeks in a senior suite. Wow, from the time we arrived until we left, nothing was to much for the staff. The room was clean and very well maintained. We had a problem with our airconditioner which was attended to in an hour. The service at the hotel cannot be faulted. The swimming beach on the north side (Senior suites) was clean and sooooooo nice to swim in. Clear water!!! The food is good and there was a good variaty of food that everyone in the family was kept satisfied. The only downfall of this hotel is the dive centre. It was shocking. The staff looked like they partied all night and slauntered into work. We chose not to dive (4 divers) at this resort and went diving elsewhere where they were more professional.

Room Tip: All senior suites are good
