We stayed in the Kolibri bungalow of Anse Soleil Resort (self catering) for 12 nights. Terrific view over Anse Mouche, very clean, good service, everything worked and Andrew and Paula are the best B&B hosts we've ever experienced - anywhere, period. Andrew met us at the airport on time and when it was time to catch our flight home, he got us to the airport for check-in at 0700. And that was after taking another set of guests to the airport for an earlier flight! (Pickup at the airport and return was at no extra charge.)

We also had two dinners (unfortunately only two) prepared by Andrew and Paula. After having dined at a number of local restaurants (Anse Soleil Cafe, Maria's Rock Cafe, The Islander, Chez Batista), we decided to try the dinner offered by Andrew and Paula. Wow! What a pleasant experience! The first time they brought two grilled Red Snappers, salad, fish salad and potatoes and that was just a dream. They brought it to our bungalow and we ate looking out over a moonlit Anse Mouche. Two days later we did it again and had a very memorable lamb curry, this time on the terrace dining area - also a terrific setting. The food prepared by Andrew and Paula is simply in a completely different class when compared to the other restaurants that we tried (at a considerably lower price).

Initially, we planned to make our own breakfast and eat on the terrace of the Kolibri. However, after trying the breakfast served by the hosts, we continued having breakfast. They start with a fruit plate and juice and then serve a choice of eggs with toast and coffee or tee. We found their vegetable and cheese omelets so delicious that we ordered the same thing every day thereafter. The breakfast area on the terrace is a terrific setting and is really comfortable.
A review of Anse Soleil Resort would not be complete without mentioning the garden setting. I can't say enough good things about the plantings and the thoroughness with which the maintenance is carried out. They also grow lots of vegetables on the estate and these are used in the food served and are sold local hotels as well.

Regarding location, Anse Soleil Resort self catering is not on the beach. At first glance a disadvantage, however, on the other hand we ended up swimming many times at Anse Louis (near Maia Luxury Resort) because it has a fine sand beach and the bottom falls away steep enough that swimming is also possible at low tide. This is not the case with a number of other beaches. For snorkeling we went to Port Launay and engaged a boat to go to the Baie Ternay Marine Reserve. In effect we had a terrific place to eat and sleep and simply drove 10 minutes to swim and around 25 minutes to snorkel.

The hosts also arranged for a rental car and this worked out fine - price wise and service wise.

Room Tip: The Kolibri Bungalow has a glass front that opens up to a spacious terrace and a lush tropical garden. We found the Kolibri to be cozy and esthetically pleasing.

We have stayed at the resort 10 days with a four and an one year old child. Our accommodation was in the Kolibri bungalow, which was beautifully furnished and designed. It was large enough for all four of us and it had a very nice terrace with gorgeous view to the sea. The resort has beautiful gardens and a very pleasant reception area where guests can use Wi-Fi services. The room service was excellent, we have had daily cleaning and every day new, beautiful flowers were placed in our room. Our hosts were very nice, Paula was very helpful and provided lots of advice. She has also arranged a rental car for us for a few days, which was really important to explore the island. I believe one can spend two three days without a car and explore to foot the beaches close to the resort, Petite Anse, Anse Soleil, but in order to visit other beautiful spots on Mahe it is really advisable to have a car.

After discussion with owner Paula; we had booked for 5 night stay at Anse Soleil self catering resort. Andrew welcome us at the airport and while coming to resort; he has stopped at one departmental store to take the groceries along. He has explained about Seychelles and culture during journey to resort.
The villa was good with kitchen and a big washroom with nice view of the valley.
Hired a car for travel to visit the beach and watching the other scenric location in Mahe Island.
The own garden has lots of fruits.
The stay was comfortable with all kitchen utencils in place.
They charge the honest price for the stay. Recommeded both for couples and family.
Thanks Andrew and Paula for making our visit memorable.

We stayed 2 nights in Anse Soleil Resort. The place is so nice, so welcoming and has a very good wibe. Although it has also very beautiful view, clean and comfortable the best was the nice feeling we had there and this was the best place for us we had further visited La Digue and Praslin. The host Paula is an amazing cheerful woman and she will make you feel like at home. Our breakfast we had there was so gorgeous, we kept seeking for something similar further on our trip :) Highly recomended, everything there is just the best !!!

We had booked 2 villas in Anse Soleil Resort in October after reading the great reviews and receiving good rental rates. Andrew and his family have been very good and accommodating from the time we were booking (with all our last minute travel changes) and up to our last night in their resort. We've booked not just a great place (it's well kept, clean, very spacious, nice location, free access to wifi at the reception, giant tortoises, nice decorations, very nice area in Mahe, great price), but we had also been lucky to meet a truly warm and great family. We've been picked up from the airport, had been assisted to getting our first groceries, getting a car hire, been surprised with tropical flower decorations/plants in our rooms after regular cleaning. We've also received a truly great surprise on our last night, very memorable. We can't ask for anything more, we've been given more than what we have paid for frankly. Truly an excellent customer service. A very big, big thanks to Andrew, Paula and kids for making our stay memorable. We'll be back hopefully! :)

Warm hug from us from Dubai.
