This was our Holy Land tour hotel for 3-nights in the Galilee area. First, the views overlooking the Sea of Galilee were great. The staff was very helpful with our bags and prepared for our tour group check-in. On the other hand, the food was just average and pool hours were limited to the times we were out touring. The shower water temperature was hard to regulate, between scalding hot and too cold for comfort. I'd check out a different hotel if return to this area.

We travelled by car from Tel Aviv to Tiberias and whilst we made good time the hotel is a nightmare to find as it is actually outside the main town by about 0.5km. On arrival it was manic with a group checking in and we were not offered assistance with our bags. There was also a very rule male manager who shouted at the reception desk staff who checked us in. They gave us a "superior" room down two floors and that big moment where you draw back the curtains step onto the balcony...and.....Ohhhhh The Sea of Galilee has a direct view obstructed by telephone poles, cables etc....What a let down ! The bed was rock hard & the pillows the same. The breakfast was horrendous.....At $200 a night.....Get me out of here ! I was swimming the Sea of Galilee next morning for charity and that was far more comfortable than this rip off hotel !

Room Tip: Under no circumstances should you allow the staff to allocate below ground floor rooms

Stayed here with a group of Pilgrims touring the Holy Land. Views were beautiful. Food was acceptable and the Bar area was welcoming, especially after a day on a tour bus! Staff were courteous and efficient. Why do hotels still charge for Wi-Fi access.it is so penny pinching. If you go on to the terrace outside the Bar it's possible to connect via a neighbouring hotel's free access.

We spent a shabbos here at the Golan. It's a quiet hotel, comparing to some of the "busier" places along the Kineret Route to the east of Tiberias. We got the "less extravagant" room with no balcony, but for the 3 of us, it felt quite spacious as there's a little "alcove" of privacy in between our beds and each section has its own tv. Perhaps for kids, the GAI BEACH hotel would have been more exciting as there is access to Lake Kineret there as well as two water slides, but my kids and I enjoyed the cleanest pool ever while overlooking the tremendous Kineret from high above. The Kosher Friday night dinner buffet was expansive (and included chala buns/wine for kiddush) and there's even a shabbos elevator. Will come back for husband... hopefully before retirement!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Golan Hotel. The staff and management were very friendly and the food was excellent. There were lovely views of the Sea of Galilee.

The swimming pool was superb. They also had live music entertainment, which was suitable for all ages.

We very much look forward to returning here again.

The Golan Hotel has a fabulous view of the Kinneret both from the pool and the lobby; our room though had a limited side view from a small window despite being on the 10th floor.

Service wasn't great; less due to unpleasantness more indifference. There was adequate parking but due to tour buses blocking the road exiting it made for some interesting manoeuvres.

Some of the floors appear better furnished than others. Our room was adequate with a small bathroom.

The pool was a real refuge and delightful; we spent a few hours there at the end of our mini excursions.

The hotel is about 5 minutes drive from the beach and would be difficult to reach without a car; at least the upward return journey. The town itself it situated in a beautiful area with multitude of historical and natural attractions; but the people are aggressive ( very trigger happy on their car horns ); in many ways it feels like like a throwback from 70s Israel bypassed by the hi-tech revolution.

Breakfast was barely ok but at least had freshly brewed coffee. There was free wifi only in the lobby; it is available at purchase in the rooms but didn't work for us.

Overall its a good base to explore the gaillee/kinneret from and would get a higher rating if not for the price.

intenret

We went to the hotel for a weekend,
There only 4 rooms with a double bed, all the athers are twin beds, it was a deluxe room so we paid extra.
The breakfast was good for European breakfast but for Israel it was three star hotel breakfast.
There was a great view, deluxe room, but no bulcony.
We were disepointed of the hotel.
