Scots Hotel
Ranked #6 of 38 Hotels in Tiberias
Reviewed March 21, 2014

I had heard great things about the Scot's Hotel prior to our stay so I was hoping it would live up to the anticipation. The grounds are absolutely lovely and the room was very clean and well-appointed. But the star of this property is the gorgeous buffets. There are so many incredibly selections of farm-fresh food it is difficult to make a decision on what to leave off the plate. The spa is also an A-plus experience. I had a relaxation massage from Gregory and it was the best massage I have ever had and I have indulged in quite a few.

I would highly recommend anyone who is going to the region to make sure and stay at the Scot's Hotel. Great location next to the Sea of Galilee with explorations of Tiberias, Galilee and Capernum all nearby.

Room Tip: I'm sure there are better rooms - ours just overlooked the Courtyard but it was just fine.

we had a possibility to have a an antic garden room in the old building of the Scots Hotel.
it was very spacious and clean.
The hotel had as a courtesy the bottle of shampagne waiting for us in honor of birthday.
The rooms had espresso machinnes and good quality coffeee and tee for guests enjoyment. A very rare thing in hotel rooms.
Food was served as a buffet in the evening with a lot to choose between meat and fish, tasty salads and deserts.
They have a spa and the swinmming pool as well, which we did not have time to use, because we had a very rich program for our trip in Galilee.
A magical garden with plenty of sitting corners. warmly recommended.

Room Tip: in old building there is a macig of its own with basalt stone walls

The grounds, the staff , the rooms, the meals and the caring of everyone involved was the very best. Traveled in October of 2012, however the selectotr on the form would not reflect that.

Hotel is close to everything and do not miss the sound and light show

Room Tip: Just ask and it will be done

Our pilgrimage group was extended a warm welcome upon arrival and we were quickly given all necessary information for our three night stay. Our room was large, spotless, and quiet; not fancy, but quite comfortable. The bathroom and dressing area were also of good size and clean.

The real star at Scots Hotel is the food. Huge selections for breakfast featured various breads, fruit, meats, yogurts, omelets made to order, fresh squeezed orange juice, and coffee drinks made to order. In the evening, at least three entree selections such as lamb, fish, and prime rib with numerous sides and dessert selections were offered. Only the wine selection could use some improvement.

It was easy to see why the Scots Hotel receives the #1 ranking in Tiberias. I hope they keep up the good work.

A nice hotel with a great tradition. Staff is very attentive. A Lakeview Room is a neccessity. Food is excellent. The rooms are adequate - internet is a cost. Pretty sure this is the top hotel in Tiberias.

This place sits right on the Sea of Galilee and has incredible views! The rooms are very well appointed with comforts better than your home! There are several buildings on the property and the one we were in had a common area and very large balcony looking out to the sea! The rooms are large with beautiful sitting areas and lots of windows to enjoy the views. The bathrooms are marble with the best toiletries and comfy robes and slippers. The breakfast is the best in Israel with eggs to order and just about every other breakfast food imaginable. I only wish we had stayed longer! One night was not nearly enough! Make this your home base to see the areas of the north, so that you can take a bit of time to enjoy the property as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the Residence building with a sea view! Worth every penny!

The hotel is modern but small ,built by the local black stone of the area and has an interesting story since buildings were buit more than 100 years ago mainly by the Scottish Church.
Find more about the Hotel History once you come . Warm welcome, good food and quiet .
Located 100 meters from the sea of Galliee the hotel known also as St.Andrew's Galliee is well worth a visit .

Room Tip: Try and pay a little more for rooms on upper flowers of the new building. -View !
