“Wonderfully relaxing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2012

Spent 2 days at the Spa Village. Service was excellent. Suite contained comfortable bed with adjoining room fitted with jacuzzi. Mini-bar, including wine was free. Cake & fresh fruit awaited us on arrival in the room which was very clean. Brand new A/C units worked v. well. Spa was beautiful, v. relaxing and very quiet - went midweek to avoid crowd. Food was good, typically diverse and tasty Israeli breakfast & evening fish/pasta meals were above average. Best to eat at Spa since other restaurants outside the Spa village looked poor. Well worth to do massages which were included in the price. The wooden decks around the spas could do with a bit of a fix - some were chipped exposing sharpened edges. Quite pricey, ~ 1500 shekels per night, 1/2 board, probably overpriced by about 20%. However, well worth the extra brass to get away from the everyday "hustle and bustle" Israeli society and found the vacation highly therapeutic.

The SPA village place is nice & unique for a short vacation. Although not recently build, it keeps nice standards and is very clean. Great service, SPA and breakfast accompanied by nice room makes is a great winter vacation (winter because in the summer it is extremely hot.
The hotel gives a choice of dinner either in the hotel or at a Thai restaurant outside the hotel. Choose the hotel restaurant. The Thai is not good to say the least.

Room Tip: choose a room at the end of each row. it is quite and nice entrance.

In the mid afternoon of one of our days of touring we spent a few hours at the Hamat Gader Spa. We paid the extra money for the upgraded spa area and we were not disappointed. The change rooms were spotless. We were given bathrobes and towels and proceeded to the hot spring pool where we spent a few hours soaking and lying in the sun.

We had dinner in the restaurant and had a preset menu of fabulous Chinese food - an assortment of seven different varieties of kosher food that was the best Chinese food I have had in a long time.

We did not see or stay in the hotel so cannot comment on the rooms; however, the spa and food were top notch.

I cannot believe it how dirty our room was. This place is expensive and our room was completely dirty (dust everywhere, dirty shower with fungus, it was clear that this room has been neglected). Upon complaining the cleaner admitted that they are short of cleaning staff. We checked out and received a total refund when we complained at the reception. Will not come back, anyway this place is overpriced for what it offers.

The room/cabin is nice and spacious, seems to have been redone recently. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices, very much enjoyed it. The dinner at the Thai place was not bad (appetizers better than the main), the service was very slow though. Massages were also good. Overall a very nice experience with the zoo and the springs, and the ruins. There is plenty to keep the kids entertained and adults relaxed and able to explore a bit as well.

The hotel is situated in a very isolated location and this is what makes it perfect if you seek to have a day or two of relaxation.
The rooms are beautiful and big with TV Air-conditioning and a free mini-bar (no alcohol..), there is a big Jacuzzi in the room's terrace which you can fill with hot spring water. You can also enjoy the public pool which is also with hot spring water. There are two restaurants - we tried the Asian which was very good. I loved the place - but if I'll come again - only for one night. I love the action which you can't find there.

the location and the thermal pools are great but the hotel facility has certainly deteriorated and leaves you with a sense of great disappointment. the most enjoyable is the night dips in the hot pool when outside it rained and stormed. the rooms are poorly maintained, food is horrible in the so called thai restaurant as was the breakfast in the hotel's dining room. all in all - not recommended.

Room Tip: i guess the suite are better than the ordinary rooms
